FIr. Bambcrger had had some hesitation about the part of the<br />

<strong>Institute</strong> in trying to bring order out a£ chaos in the field<br />

of economics, but that after having gone over the subject<br />

with the Director and others he had becorne convinced that<br />

this is a noble ef<strong>for</strong>t which the <strong>Institute</strong> is about to<br />

under take.57<br />

Mr. Bambergcr went a step furthe5 speaking <strong>for</strong> himself and say-<br />
