MULTICRISTALLINE HIGH EFFICIENCY MODULE<br />

The PW1650 <strong>is</strong> Photowatt’s 5 inch h<strong>ig</strong>h eff<strong>icie</strong><strong>ncy</strong> <strong>mo</strong>d<strong>ul</strong>e. Thanks to its<br />

optimum size it <strong>is</strong> easy to handle and specific<strong>al</strong>ly dedicated to large sc<strong>al</strong>e<br />

grid connected applications.<br />

The PW1650 <strong>mo</strong>d<strong>ul</strong>e uses Photowatt’s m<strong>ul</strong>t<strong>icr</strong>yst<strong>al</strong>l<strong>ine</strong> technology. The<br />

solar cells are individu<strong>al</strong>ly characterized and electronic<strong>al</strong>ly matched prior to<br />

interconnection. Encaps<strong>ul</strong>ation beneath h<strong>ig</strong>h transm<strong>is</strong>sion tempered glass<br />

<strong>is</strong> accompl<strong>is</strong>hed using an advanced, UV res<strong>is</strong>tant therm<strong>al</strong> setting plastic.<br />

The encaps<strong>ul</strong>ant, ethylene vinyl acetate, cushions the solar cells within the<br />

laminate and protect the cells from etching. The rear surface of the<br />

<strong>mo</strong>d<strong>ul</strong>e <strong>is</strong> completely se<strong>al</strong>ed from <strong>mo</strong><strong>is</strong>ture and mechanic<strong>al</strong> damage by a<br />

continuous h<strong>ig</strong>h strength polymer sheet.<br />

The PW1650 <strong>is</strong> using a reinforced transparent anod<strong>is</strong>ed <strong>al</strong>uminium frame,<br />

des<strong>ig</strong>ned to meet Photowatt’s H<strong>ig</strong>h Qu<strong>al</strong>ity Standards for corrosion<br />

res<strong>is</strong>tance (lifetime tested 3 times longer than requested by CEI 61215).<br />

With a tolerance improvement to+/- 3%, the PW1650 <strong>mo</strong>d<strong>ul</strong>e ensures<br />

<strong>mo</strong>re power ho<strong>mo</strong>geneity in inst<strong>al</strong>lations, and a financi<strong>al</strong> investment<br />

corresponding to the re<strong>al</strong> power produced.<br />
