Student Accounts: Each band student has a Student Account that is maintained by the <strong>Band</strong> Booster Student<br />

Accognts Treasurer. The cost of each activity in which your student participates will be added to his or her account-<br />

Certain activities (and related costs) are considered mandatory for all band students, while others are optional. Each<br />

family is required to make payments directly to the <strong>Band</strong> Boosters of <strong>Oakton</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> (BBOHS) to pay for these<br />

activities. Student Accouni Statements are located online at https://www.charmsoffice.com./ (please contact the Student<br />

Accounts Treasurer for your personal log-in infonnation). It is essential that your contact information be accurate in<br />

Uniform Fees: Each student must wear concert attire for performances. Girls will purchase a dress. Boys will<br />

Locate the "PARENT/STUDENT LOGIN|' section of the web page.<br />

Login to your student's program account using the following log-in:<br />

This will bring up the main parent page. This will allow you to look at the band's<br />

public calendar, eyent list, handouts and other files,<br />

Clicking on an event on the calendar brings up the details for that event, such as<br />

times, attendance requirements and equipment/uniform necessities. Clicking on<br />

'oevent lisf' puts all of the calendar information in a list fonn for easy printing.<br />

o When you enter your student's ID NUMBER" another more<br />

detailed screen appears with even more options to view your student's financial<br />

records and forms. Enter your student's ID FIRST - then you may create your<br />

own, unique password by clicking on the "keys icon"<br />

Two areas in which you can help the director maintain his/her records:<br />

o Student information form - You may make changes to your child's<br />

student information page (such as updating phone numbers and email<br />

addresses if they change) to help the director communicate with you more<br />

effectively.<br />

o The director can text your student if the cell phone number AllD cell<br />

carrier information is fiIIed in. This will be very helpful with last minute<br />

changes to rehearsals.<br />

Most importantly, the parent page assists both you and the teacher to communicate<br />

with each other.<br />

Each student has been assigned a perstonal ID number. This number will allgw only<br />

you to access to your sfudentts information. If you cannot access your student's<br />

account, contact thg Student Accounts Treasurer for assistance.<br />

BBOI{S FUNDRATSERS<br />

To help offset the cost of participating in the band program the <strong>Band</strong> Boosters of <strong>Oakton</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> have several<br />

fundraisers for our band families. Participation in some of these programs can directly contribute to your student's<br />

band account Other fundraisers direcdy benefit the band. These funds allow for the purchase of instruments and<br />

other items needed to maintain the qudity band program <strong>Oakton</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> currently enjoys.<br />

ADD TO YOUR STUDENT'S ACCOUNT AND HELP TIfi BAND<br />

Florida Citrus<br />

Once each month from November through March each school year you, your friends and family can purchase Florida<br />

Citrus through the band website. Part of the proceeds from your purchases will go to your student's account as<br />

indicated on the order forrn. If friends and family order and place your student's name on t}te order form your<br />

student's account'will receive credit forthose orders.<br />

GLScrip<br />

purchase gift cards from over 600 retailers through GlScrip.com to use for everyday purchases fgroceries, gas,<br />

restaurants, hotels, fast food, departrnent stores). Use the cards for gifts fholidays, teachers, religious leaders, fuiends,<br />

applied to your student's account. These ornaments make perfect holiday gifts as well as wedding and anniversary<br />

Tag Day<br />

This is the biggest fundraiser for the band. Tag Day takes place early each school year and is required participation by<br />

all band students in all bands , jazzand,marchingband. Students "tagf'homes in the <strong>Oakton</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> boundary<br />

asking for donations in support of the band program. Parents can help by assuring participation of their student and<br />

by hosting groups of students in their neighborhood. Student accounts are credited with a portion of the donations.<br />

Campbell Labels<br />

Help the band earn points by placing your Campbell labels in the Campbell's container in the band hallway and at<br />

school concerts. Eligible product brands include Campbell's@, Franco-American@, Goldfish@ crackers, Healthy<br />

2. Monitor houses and rooms during concert practice. All students are<br />

required to be at concert practice/drumline practice/guard practice.<br />

3. Monitor camp after students are finished eating meals.<br />

4. There are no co-ed room visits for any reason.<br />

5. Students must be in rooms at 11:00 pm, directly following taps.<br />

Three car washes are held during the summer. The classes that make the<br />

most money on their car wash are allowed to sleep in one morning at Orkney.<br />

Proceeds from the car washes go toward <strong>Band</strong> Council funds and are used to<br />

make major purchases for the band program, presented at the annual <strong>Band</strong><br />

awards banquet in June.<br />

All car washes are held at the Giant in Hunter Mill Plaza, <strong>Oakton</strong>. Please<br />

note, we also need several adults to be present during the car washes. lf you<br />
