Student Accounts: Each band student has a Student Account that is maintained by the Band Booster Student
Accognts Treasurer. The cost of each activity in which your student participates will be added to his or her account-
Certain activities (and related costs) are considered mandatory for all band students, while others are optional. Each
family is required to make payments directly to the Band Boosters of Oakton High School (BBOHS) to pay for these
activities. Student Accouni Statements are located online at https://www.charmsoffice.com./ (please contact the Student
Accounts Treasurer for your personal log-in infonnation). It is essential that your contact information be accurate in

Uniform Fees: Each student must wear concert attire for performances. Girls will purchase a dress. Boys will

home with students so that orders can be placed on time.

Locate the "PARENT/STUDENT LOGIN|' section of the web page.

Login to your student's program account using the following log-in:
oaktonbands
This will bring up the main parent page. This will allow you to look at the band's
public calendar, eyent list, handouts and other files,
Clicking on an event on the calendar brings up the details for that event, such as
times, attendance requirements and equipment/uniform necessities. Clicking on
'oevent lisf' puts all of the calendar information in a list fonn for easy printing.
o When you enter your student's ID NUMBER" another more
detailed screen appears with even more options to view your student's financial
records and forms. Enter your student's ID FIRST - then you may create your
own, unique password by clicking on the "keys icon"
Two areas in which you can help the director maintain his/her records:
o Student information form - You may make changes to your child's
student information page (such as updating phone numbers and email
addresses if they change) to help the director communicate with you more
effectively.
o The director can text your student if the cell phone number AllD cell
carrier information is fiIIed in. This will be very helpful with last minute
changes to rehearsals.
Most importantly, the parent page assists both you and the teacher to communicate
with each other.
Each student has been assigned a perstonal ID number. This number will allgw only
you to access to your sfudentts information. If you cannot access your student's
account, contact thg Student Accounts Treasurer for assistance.

BBOI{S FUNDRATSERS
To help offset the cost of participating in the band program the Band Boosters of Oakton High School have several
fundraisers for our band families. Participation in some of these programs can directly contribute to your student's
band account Other fundraisers direcdy benefit the band. These funds allow for the purchase of instruments and
other items needed to maintain the qudity band program Oakton High School currently enjoys.

ADD TO YOUR STUDENT'S ACCOUNT AND HELP TIfi BAND
Florida Citrus
Once each month from November through March each school year you, your friends and family can purchase Florida
Citrus through the band website. Part of the proceeds from your purchases will go to your student's account as
indicated on the order forrn. If friends and family order and place your student's name on t}te order form your
student's account'will receive credit forthose orders.

Beginning with Back-to-School nights and throughout the Chrisnnas sedson you have the opporhrnity to order \Mhite
House Ornaments from the Band Boosters. A portion of the sales of these beautiful collectible ornaments will be
applied to your student's account. These ornaments make perfect holiday gifts as well as wedding and anniversary

Tag Day
This is the biggest fundraiser for the band. Tag Day takes place early each school year and is required participation by
all band students in all bands , jazzand,marchingband. Students "tagf'homes in the Oakton High School boundary
asking for donations in support of the band program. Parents can help by assuring participation of their student and
by hosting groups of students in their neighborhood. Student accounts are credited with a portion of the donations.
Campbell Labels
Help the band earn points by placing your Campbell labels in the Campbell's container in the band hallway and at
school concerts. Eligible product brands include Campbell's@, Franco-American@, Goldfish@ crackers, Healthy

CIIAPEROI\-B GENERAL DUTIES LIST
l. Make sure every student is at Rookie Drills and Fundamentals. NO
EXCEPTIONS!
2. Monitor houses and rooms during concert practice. All students are
required to be at concert practice/drumline practice/guard practice.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
3. Monitor camp after students are finished eating meals.
4. There are no co-ed room visits for any reason.
5. Students must be in rooms at 11:00 pm, directly following taps.
The directors will handle all discipline issues.

Three car washes are held during the summer. The classes that make the
most money on their car wash are allowed to sleep in one morning at Orkney.
Proceeds from the car washes go toward Band Council funds and are used to
make major purchases for the band program, presented at the annual Band
awards banquet in June.
All car washes are held at the Giant in Hunter Mill Plaza, Oakton. Please
note, we also need several adults to be present during the car washes. lf you
