PARK PAVILIONS<br />

are available for rent!<br />

<strong>Carroll</strong> <strong>County</strong> Recreation & Parks schedules pavilion rentals<br />

at park sites located throughout the county. To reserve a<br />

pavilion, please contact the Department at 410-386-2103 or<br />

send an email to cloar@ccg.carr.org. All facilities are<br />

scheduled on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $75<br />

to reserve the pavilion.<br />

• Bennett Cerf Park - fishing in pond, stream,<br />

tennis courts<br />

• Deer Park - fishing in pond, playground, tennis<br />

and basketball courts, walking trail<br />

• Double Pipe Creek Park - fishing and boating in<br />

creek, playground, free play area<br />

• Freedom Park - walking trail, playground, swings<br />

• Landon C. Burns Park - fishing in pond,<br />

playground<br />

• Mayeski Park - tot lot<br />

• North <strong>Carroll</strong> Community Pond - fishing in pond<br />

• Sandymount Park - playground, tennis and<br />

basketball courts, walking trail<br />

• Westminster Community Pond - fishing in pond,<br />

playground, swings, free play area<br />

Recognizing that we are all “works in progress” and that women in particular<br />

tend to make sure other things or other people progress before themselves,<br />

we are creating a group to provide time for friendship, support, activity, and<br />

new experiences while encouraging the growth of each individual<br />

into a better more enhanced woman. This is a NEW group<br />

for women 21 years and older! Come alone or grab a girlfriend<br />

and share your ideas for future meetings and happenings.<br />

Additional trips/speakers/events will be scheduled on varying<br />

days/times. *Sept-Dec schedule t/b/a - fee covers membership<br />

through 2011. No early bird or senior discount. Age: 21+.<br />

Being a human can get downright boring sometimes. I mean, the entire species moves and sounds<br />

the same! How about a chance to step into somebody else’s hooves or paws for once? Spend the<br />

week experimenting with movement and sound, imitating all manner of animals from the jungle to the<br />

farmyard. We’ll work individually with all to create a personalized, fun and challenging experience. In<br />

the end, showcase your brief, improv-based performance inspired by Aesop’s Fables. Participants will<br />

have a chance to make their own props and animal headdresses with odds and ends and great<br />

amounts of imagination. Bring a bag lunch & drink. Age 6-11. Instructors: Rena Brault, David Brault<br />

Join our summer Sports & Games Camps! We will recreate fun like the good ole’ days before video<br />

games. Campers will play all the great playground favorites as well as some new unique contests.<br />

Games will range from capture the flag, to kickball, to whiffle ball, to kick the can. There will be plenty<br />

of fun and exciting contests and games for everyone to enjoy. Exercises in teamwork and personal<br />

growth will take place each day. We will stress fair play and teach good sportsmanship. Join us for<br />

one week, two weeks or even the whole summer! Grades: (entering) 1-8. Instructor: HoopEd staff<br />
