3(R). Allotment <strong>of</strong> land for setting up <strong>of</strong> warehousing facilities:<br />
a) Warehousing, except storage <strong>of</strong> food grain, will be permitted in inustrial areas<br />
as a supportive and promotional activity. However, warehousing <strong>of</strong> food grain<br />
will also be permitted to Central/State PSUs in Agro Food Parks only.<br />
b) No rebate shall be allowed in rate <strong>of</strong> allotment <strong>of</strong> land to be allotted for<br />
warehousing purposes.<br />
c) The allotment <strong>of</strong> plot planned for warehousing purposes in all categories <strong>of</strong><br />
industrial areas will be made to the Central/State Warehousing<br />
Corporations/Undertakings at prevailing rate <strong>of</strong> development charges <strong>of</strong> the<br />
industrial area concerned.<br />
d) The allotment <strong>of</strong> plot planned for warehousing purposes will be made to the<br />
private applicants at prevailing rate <strong>of</strong> the development charges in normal<br />
industrial areas, after advertising the availability <strong>of</strong> warehousing plots in<br />
newspaper(s). In case there being more than one applicants then, the<br />
allotment will be made through draw <strong>of</strong> lots. However, in saturated industrial<br />
areas, allotments will be made through auction by way <strong>of</strong> inviting sealed<br />
bids, keeping the reserve rate at par with the prevailing rate <strong>of</strong> development<br />
charges <strong>of</strong> the industrial area concerned.<br />

3(S). Policy regarding Housing facility to entrepreneurs and industrial labour in various<br />
industrial areas developed by <strong>RIICO</strong>.<br />
The Infrastructure Development Committee <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors vide item (3) <strong>of</strong> the<br />
meeting held on 30th April, 2007 have accorded approval to the land allotment policy<br />
related to housing facility to entrepreneurs and industrial workers (Managers / labour etc.).<br />
The aforesaid policy as approved by the IDC is as under:<br />
(a) While planning an industrial area, the Corporation should necessarily create a zone <strong>of</strong><br />
residential plots which will contain residential plots for entrepreneurs / managers etc.<br />
A separate zone / block could also be created containing residential plots for group<br />
housing and for construction <strong>of</strong> LIG houses for the purpose <strong>of</strong> industrial labour<br />
residing within the industrial area.<br />
(b) The plots earmarked for labour housing will be allotted to the unit holders <strong>of</strong> the area<br />
particularly to the entrepreneurs who are running an industry, which is labour<br />
intensive. The land will be allotted at a fixed rate to such entrepreneurs who would<br />
create group housing or LIG houses for the labour at their cost and the premises could<br />
be used for the labour on their terms & conditions. The Corporation will decide<br />
building norms for construction <strong>of</strong> group houses or LIG houses for labour with a view
