Anti-bullying development plan. School: St.John’s C.E Primary School
Completed by Fiona Beardmore Date: July 2010
What’s already working well?
The Amber Alert System is working very well in school. All staff are using it and are aware of it.
The new playground signs are working well to improve behaviour and remind children of the playground rules.
The school council’s enthusiasm and commitment to anti-bullying work.
The senior management team and all staff in school are committed to preventing bullying and are supportive of anti-bullying work.
Parents are very supportive – supporting the school council by raising money for the school/charities and welcoming and attending events
e.g The LEC parent sessions, parent’s evenings.
The National Anti-Bullying Week is successful and all staff take part.
Whole school assemblies – Mrs Higton and Mr Clarke discuss bullying and promote Christian values.
What do we want to achieve? (List no more than 4 or 5 objectives)
1. Reviewing the school anti-bullying policy and the school council policy.
2. Preventing bullying through re-launching the Bully Boxes system and raising the profile of the Playground Pals.
3. Involving other outside agencies to prevent bullying from happening and arrange staff training to increase knowledge.
4. Arranging more contact with the church to support anti-bullying work in school.
5. Increase staff, pupil and parent knowledge of cyber bullying.
