Full skeletal surveys vs. specific bone film<br />

Follow up surveys needed to see callus<br />

formation<br />

Bone scans (nuclear medic<strong>in</strong>e sc<strong>in</strong>tigraphy)<br />

sc<strong>in</strong>tigraphy)<br />

needed to see fractures acutely<br />

Rule out metabolic abnormalities <strong>and</strong> other causes<br />

Exact protocol depends on age of child <strong>and</strong> f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />
