PARTY TRAINING<br />
DEFINITION:<br />
Number <strong>of</strong> political party representatives, political grouping representatives, and<br />
independent candidates who received <strong>US</strong>G-supported training in political party<br />
strengthening (e.g., campaign techniques, membership development,<br />
constituency outreach, platform design, communication skills, transparency,<br />
fundraising, campaign finance, etc.). Training refers to all training or education<br />
events whether short-term or long-term, in-country or abroad<br />
RATIONALE:<br />
This indicator is one measure <strong>of</strong> the support the <strong>US</strong>G provides to political parties<br />
and groupings in improving their effectiveness and becoming more internally<br />
democratic.<br />
