The team consists of general manager, Mr. Mark Spence, sales Mr. John Sich, after-sales and service, Mr. Laif Walde, and order handling, telephonic parts sales, Mr. Cameron. The Australian office has a long history dating close to 40 years back. At that time a wide range of products for the feed industry was made under the Jaybee and Sprout Waldron names. Today a number of specialized products meeting local market demands are still made in Australia. However, today the major part of the products is based on Andritz Sprout European and USA products. The Andritz Sprout service team in Australia also supports Asian markets with professional service carried out by a well-trained staff. The formula for highcapacity lines: 1 + 1 = 1 In today’s world of increasing costs of feed ingredients, energy and labour, feed producers strive to find cost-reducing ways. The advantages of economy of scale in terms of high-capacity lines in feed production were first discovered by American integrated meat groups with their own feed mills, and were later implemented by comparable feed millers in South America and Western and Eastern Europe. The high-capacity lines are now making Asian feed mills even more successful. The production lines, particularly those at the larger integrated poultry and hog feed producers, have grown from 10-40 TPH and up to 70-100 TPH. Reduced capital investment, using one large production line to do the job instead of two or three smaller lines, will mean a relatively small footprint for the production tower. Reduced numbers of transport elements. Reduced installation costs, less equipment cables and piping to install. Reduced labour costs, number of operators required for one line with a high level of automation. Reduced maintenance costs, less machines to maintain. MARCH 2008 Advantages of high-capacity lines: The largest producer of feeds in Asia, CPF Thailand, leads the way with their stateof-the-art pelleting plant at Paktongchai. The mill has two pelleting lines, type Andritz Sprout PM1219, mounted with expander, type Fex42, for broiler feed production. Each line has a capacity approaching 100TPH of quality feeds. The plant is furthermore equipped with one Andritz Sprout PM919 pelleting line for specialized feeds.
