<strong>Driving</strong> Practice Tips<br />

• Request a copy <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Driving</strong> Test Criteria (DL<br />

955) booklet.<br />

• Review the driving test in<strong>for</strong>mation in the following<br />

publications: Cali<strong>for</strong>nia Driver Handbook (DL 600),<br />

<strong>Driving</strong> Test Criteria (DL 955), and Preparing For<br />

Your Supplemental <strong>Driving</strong> Per<strong>for</strong>mance Evaluation<br />

(DL 956).<br />

• Have a friend or adult family member observe your<br />

driving skills and behaviors and make suggestions<br />

on improvement.<br />

• Practice backing, changing lanes, speed control,<br />

right and left turns, and driving through controlled,<br />

uncontrolled, and blind intersections.<br />

DMv Decisions following reexaminations<br />

Following a reexamination, the DMV hearing <strong>of</strong>ficer will<br />

take one <strong>of</strong> the following administrative actions:<br />

• No action: Your condition or driving record does not<br />

warrant an action against your driving privilege.<br />

• Medical Probation (Type I): You must comply with<br />

your medical regimen and report any changes in your<br />

medical condition to DMV.<br />

• Medical Probation (Type II): Your physician must<br />

submit periodic medical reports to DMV on specified<br />

dates.<br />
