v Keyboard type (KBDTYPE) parameter. You can set the keyboard language type for a keyboard when<br />

you create a device description. Set the keyboard language type using the CHGDEVDSP command.<br />

v Workstation customization (WSCST) parameter. You can set the workstation customization parameter<br />

when creating a device to specify the use of a customized keyboard layout. To set this parameter, the<br />

display device must be varied off. You can specify the WSCST parameter when using the CRTDEVDSP<br />

command.<br />

v Language type (LNGTYPE) parameter. When you create an ASCII printer using the CRTDEVPRT<br />

command, the LNGTYPE parameter describes the default country or region keyboard language<br />

identifier for the printer. When you specify the *SYSVAL value, the QKBDTYPE system value is used.<br />
