Pioneer makes it fun and easy for Home DJs with the new CDJ-350 and DJM-350
Malaysia – 23 March 2010 – Pioneer is launching the CDJ-350 Multi-player and the 2-channel
DJM-350 DJ mixer into the home-DJ market, making it easy for a beginner to enjoy real DJ
performance using all kinds of music sources.
Pioneer has established its DJ equipment as standard equipment in the DJ industry and it is
widely acclaimed for its excellent sound quality, reliability and operability, in all kinds of
performances whether they are used in discos, clubs or other commercial events. In recent years
as more customers have come to enjoy remixing and DJ play *1 , there are many aspiring DJs who
would like to try DJing. In order to further expand the DJ market and meet the needs of entry
level DJs, Pioneer is launching two models aimed at making it fun and easy for a beginner to DJ
with the music they own.
The Multi-Player CDJ-350 allows users to make DJ performances with music files, such as AACs,
MP3s, etc., recorded on media such as USB devices *2 or CD-R/RW discs. What's more, using the
included music management software rekordbox makes it possible to manage music files on a
computer, allowing for speedy song selection on the device and intuitive DJ performances.
The DJ mixer DJM-350 inherits the basic functions and operability of the DJM series that is so
popular on the club scene and it comes equipped with four kinds of effects as well as an isolator
type of 3-band equalizer—all of which makes it easy to enjoy real DJ mixing. With its USB port,
users can record their DJ mixes onto USB storage devices, check their own mix and take it with
them to listen to it.
Targeting at the home DJ market, Pioneer introduces these two fully equipped models with both
the aim of solidifying its lineup and working to broaden and invigorate the DJ market by
promoting new ways to enjoy music for even more customers.
*1 In clubs the DJ freely uses lots of equipment—analog turntables, CD players and mixers to link one song with the next, mixing
songs together to produce all kinds of sounds.

Main Features of the CDJ-350
1) Compatible with Various Media and Music Formats
We made the CDJ-350 compatible with many music formats, such as MP3 AAC, WAV, AIFF, etc.,
that are used in recording to mass storage class USB devices and CD-R/RW discs. It also plays
music CDs, so you can enjoy DJing with all kinds of media and music formats.
2) Smooth Support for your DJ Life with the Included Music Management Software rekordbox
The music management software rekordbox that comes with the CDJ-350 analyzes the BPM *3 and
beat position of songs from your computer, allowing music to be categorized by genre and
facilitates the creation of playlists. When the music analyzed by rekordbox is transferred to a USB
device and then connected to the CDJ-350, it enables songs to be selected by genre, album or
artist and making DJ-ing fun and easy. Furthermore, the music played can be saved as a history
on a USB device and saved as an original playlist in rekordbox.
3) BEAT Display Function allows the DJ to view the Beat while Performing Scratches *4 and
Loops
The CDJ-350 comes equipped with our BEAT Display function, which shows the beat position of
a song and the playback point. As this allows the user to check the beat both by sound and
visually, it gives a feel of "hand, eye and ear coordination" and makes performing scratches and
loops a lot more fun.
4) Auto Beat Loop Function enables All Kinds of Loop Performances
With one press of the button, the DJ can enjoy all kinds of loop performances.
• Beat Loop: Matches the beat and repeats a 4-beat loop.
• Loop Divide: Plays the loop at a different rhythm, while a loop is being played
• Hot Loop: Repeats the loop
5) Auto BPM Lock Matches the Tempo with One Push of a Button
With just a push of the button, it matches the song that is playing to the preset master BPM.
In this way, a beginner can easily match the tempo of two songs and enjoy real BPM mixing.
6) Create Playlist Function allows the Immediate Registering of a Desired Song
While playing music of selected songs, all it takes is a press of a button to register a desired song
to a playlist. If frequently used songs are registered, it is extremely easy to call out a favorite
song from among many others.
7) Capable of Connecting to a Computer and Using a DJ Software Controller or Utilizing it as
an Audio Interface
Connecting the CDJ-350 via USB to a computer allows it to be controlled by MIDI-compatible DJ
software as well as using the music files on the computer to enjoy DJ-ing. It can also be used as
an audio interface.
8) Other Features
• Excellent vibration-resistance thanks to its Shock-Proof Memory 5 and Floating Architecture.
• Four levels of settings *6 can be made for the maximum variation range of a song's
tempo—±6%, ±10%, ±16% and WIDE.
• Equipped with our Resume function, so that when a disc is removed and later reloaded, it
returns to the previous state.

*3 Beats Per Minute: Indicates the tempo of a song numerically, so the beats per minutes is its BPM.
*4 A remixing/DJ technique that produces a scratching sound when the DJ moves the record backward and forward. The Pioneer
CDJ series allows scratching of CDs.
*5 A technology that prevents skipping by storing the audio in memory just ahead of the music playing.
*6 WIDE only works with music CDs. Music files such as MP3, AAC, WAV & AIFF can be set in 3 levels, ±6%, ±10%, ±16%.

Main Features of the DJM-350
1) Capable of Recording Directly to USB Devices
A USB port (Type A) is installed on the top panel. Users can record their own DJ mix directly to a
USB storage device without having to use a computer or recording device. As recorded DJ mixes
are saved in WAV file format, they can be imported and playback on a PC or portable audio
player.
2) Equipped with Intuitive Operations and Four Kinds of Effects for Enjoying Remixing
The DJM-350 comes equipped with four kinds of effects—Filter, Crush, Jet and Gate. *7 The
intuitive controls allow sounds to be altered so original arrangements can be added to songs and
users can enjoy DJ-ing with all kinds of remixes.
3) Equipped with an Isolator Type *8 of 3-Band Equalizer on Each Channel
The DJM-350 has a built-in 3-band, isolator type of equalizer that allows a broad range of level
control, from +9dB to -∞ (cut) in each of the HI, MID & LOW ranges. As each band can be
controlled independently, users can enjoy a variety of DJ performances.
4) Digital System with a Clear Sound for DJ Mixing
The analog signal is input and converted to digital via the shortest of circuits. In addition, the
analog and digital circuits are isolated from each other and all signal processing is performed by
a high-performance CPU that minimizes noise. The DJM-350 inherits the high fidelity design of
the DJM series so users can enjoy DJ mixing with a clean, clear sound.
5) Other Features
• Equipped with MIC/AUX terminals for connecting portable audio players and/or mics.
• A Pioneer CDJ player can be used for fader, start or play functions via a link to the fader
control. *9
• All channels are equipped with peak level meters, which indicate the input level on each
channel.
• Our Crossfader Curve Adjustment function makes it possible to adjust the crossfader *10
curve.

Crush: Accents the sound by moderately crushing it.
Jet: Applies an effect like when a jet takes off or lands.
