The software bundled with the dedicated DDJ-T1 DJ controller for
TRAKTOR is being updated to
“TRAKTOR PIONEER DDJ-T1 EDITION 2”
Malaysia, 5 th of July 2011: Pioneer will update the software that comes bundled
with the DDJ-T1 to “TRAKTOR PIONEER DDJ-T1 EDITION 2” along with Native
Instruments update its DJ software (from TRAKTOR to TRAKTOR 2). Sales of the DDJ-
T1 including the new software are scheduled to begin in late August. Customers who
have already purchased the DDJ-T1 are eligible for update at no cost *1 .
The DDJ-T1 features the same high operability as Pioneer professional DJ devices and
employs the same layout as the TRAKTOR interface (GUI), enabling top-level DJ
performance with intuitive operation. It is a dedicated DJ controller for TRAKTOR relied on
by many DJs for its plug and play compatibility allowing DJ performance by simply
connecting to a PC via USB cable, and for its simple, easy-to-use functions.

1) Equipped with a new GUI for easier view thanks to clear, high resolution color
waveform display.
DJing operability with the DDJ-T1 is improved through a new GUI easier to view
thanks to a clear, high resolution color waveform display. The improved operability
features are as follows:
・ The wave form is color coded by instrument, so it is easy to see the location of
the beat elements such as kick, hi-hat, and snare, and to mix while understanding
in advance how a song will develop.
・ The combination of the high resolution color wave display and the needle search
pad that enables quick selection of a song's playback point enables you to easily
reach a desired playback point.
・ The easier to view GUI in addition to the laptop dock design that brings the PC
screen close to the DJ has made possible to minimize eye movements, loading to
more intuitive operation.
・ The number of zoom levels for the waveform display has increased from two(2) to
nine(9), for more detailed cue point setting. Thus, cue points can be set intuitively
using the jog dial and cue buttons.
2) Improved synchronization accuracy
The accuracy of the synchronization, which is a special feature of TRAKTOR
software that allows automatic synchronization of the tempo of multiple songs, has
been improved. The auto beat can then be detected more accurately and beat mixing
is available through a single button press. The sync button that matches song tempos
is located on each channel, making it easier to synchronize beats. Additionally, by
using the channel fader start function, CUE start *2 can be performed by simply moving
a channel fader, so that advanced mixing using 4 decks can now be performed quickly and
easily.
