Recommendations for operation
the drill bit hardness must be greater than that of the
material to be drilled
the best way is to start drilling at a low speed and
gradually increase it in the process
we recommend to cool the drill bit using oil or fl uid coolant
use a shorter drill bit, if applicable
we recommend using lower speeds for the hard materials
and higher speeds – for softer materials
Notes
Recommendations for reconditioning.
The process of resharpening consists in grinding off the
worn-out part of the drill bit and sharpening the drill's
cutting edge. The best way for reconditioning is to use a
special drill bit sharpening machine.
After the reconditioning, the drill bit must be symmetrical,
smooth and free from chippings, burrs and burnings, and
the proper value of cutting edge angle must be maintained.
