Greetings, Skyhawk Families!<br />
Spring break is upon us and things will clip along at a rapid pace once we return from a well-deserved<br />
break. Below is a list of events you can expect to hear about once all the hawks are back in the nest:<br />
MSP testing begins <strong>April</strong> 30.<br />
Track Season begins <strong>April</strong> 8.<br />
Spirit Week <strong>April</strong> 8-12!<br />
Students will select exploratory flex classes that will begin May 6.<br />
In the meantime, I hope that this newsletter finds you preparing for quality time with your families over<br />
spring break. We look forward to a productive and invigorating spring!<br />

Major Grant Awarded to <strong>Skyridge</strong><br />
Congratulations to John Condon and our students as they<br />
move forward with the opportunity to learn through the use<br />
of a Tablet Computer Lab for <strong>Middle</strong> <strong>School</strong> Science!<br />
This major grant has been awarded by our <strong>Camas</strong><br />
Educational Foundation to John Condon of <strong>Skyridge</strong><br />
<strong>Middle</strong> <strong>School</strong> and Mistalyn Batten of Liberty <strong>Middle</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong> and made possible through a 50/50 partnership<br />
between CEF and our <strong>Camas</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> technology<br />
department. Each teacher will receive a syncing cart which<br />
will include 35 iPad minis and one Macbook and will be<br />
used for a variety of purposes and applications including<br />
the ability for students to gather information and construct<br />
multimedia science journals and portfolios. They will be<br />
able to take assessments and quizzes and receive<br />
immediate feedback which will allow for timely intervention<br />
tailored to each student’s need. Students will be able to<br />
gather information as it is constructed, refer back to<br />
previous learning, increase engagement and show what<br />
they know in a variety of mediums.<br />
