~LWF0002 Monitor schedule compliance during design process. Assist District in selection of technical consultants as fe(}uested. Ser..e as a resource as the District determines early procurement and bulk purchasing strategy . Participate as a District Representative in the Value Engineering and Constructability Review. Review plans and specifications for consistency, completeness and conformance with the project requirements. Work with designers to establish submittal and change proposal procedures. Bidding Provide input concerning bidding schedule and process. Assist in evaluating bids received. Construction Phase Cooperate with the design team in establishing and monitoring a schedule of critical dates during the construction phase. Assist architect and contractor in developing recovery strategies if work faIls behind schedule. Provide field supervision and project monitoring in addition to that provided by the architect. Elements of field supervision are to include, but may not be limited to: A. . . . Quality Assurance Monitorpt'oject to see that work COIUOnns to plans, specifications and that appropriate testing is done. Report to architect and to owner any apparent deviations from specifications. Monitor contractor's compliance with on-site safety programs. B. Advise District and Architect concerning on-site safety programs. c. Assist District to evaluate and timely process change order proposals and change orders. D. Represent District in negotiating cost of proposed changes. B. Maintain appropriate log of job progress, conditions and observations.
