Cleaning is the most important step in successful instrument
reprocessing. Clean instruments are the pre-requisite for disinfection
and sterilization. Only efficient, reproducible, documented and
validated processes ensure the necessary safety.

MediClean stands for universal application, gentle on materials with
excellent cleaning performance. That neodisher ® MediClean forte is lead-
ing the market is no accident. The double „neodisher ® MediClean forte /
neodisher ® MediKlar“ convinces the user: short reprocessing cycles,
energy saving and gentle on material – CLEAN and CLEAR!
The current recommendations of the German Robert Koch-Institute for
reprocessing thermostable medical devices are fulfilled by the MediClean
process: alkaline cleaning based on surfactants with neodisher ® Medi-
Clean forte at a pH-value of 10 - 11, followed by thermal disinfection. As a
rule, a neutralization step is not required. Using the special rinse aid
neodisher ® MediKlar fastens the drying time, thus shortening the overall
process noticeably.

Special
neodisher ® SeptoClean with its higher alkalinity (pH-value > 11) can
be used as an alternative to neodisher ® MediClean forte in the normal
wash process finishing with thermal disinfection or in the two-step
SeptoClean process. The second step ensures perfect cleaning and
chemical disinfection of all surfaces. A simple and effective method,
especially useful for reprocessing sensitive medical devices that
cannot stand thermal disinfection.

Intensive
The two-step DuoClean intensive cleaning process is the ideal solution for
reprocessing instruments that are extremely hard to clean due to their design
or are contaminated by dried on blood or protein residues. You can
normally dispense with ultrasonic pre-cleaning and ponderous after
cleaning. The two-step DuoClean process allows an optional dosing of
oxidizing agent to the second cleaning step. 1
Highly effective
• Highly alkaline (pH-value > 11), based on sodium hydroxide solution
with surfactants.
• Free of silicates – no formation of layers when carrying over the
cleaner to the final rinse.
• Fast hydrolysis, degradation and removal of persistent dried on
organic residues such as proteins and lipids.
• A good depletion of proteins supports the prophylaxis against prions
in accordance with the guidelines of the German Robert Koch-Institute.
• Suitable for all types of washer disinfectors (incl. tunnel washer
disinfectors).
• Suitable for instruments made from stainless steel and titanium,
incl. MIS and microsurgery.
• Not suitable for aluminium and anodized aluminium.
