contracting officer
A person with the authority to enter into, administer, or terminate contracts and to make related
determinations and findings (includes matters pertaining to implementing this regulation in the
acquisition process).
entry on duty
The date on-site contract performance or civilian employment begins.
family member
Spouse, unmarried child or stepchild, or close relative of a member of the U.S. Forces or civilian
component and U.S. Government agencies who is entitled to support from and actually supported by the
sponsor and who lives in the sponsor’s household.
