Sebastian Gerlach joins Microsoft Brussels office<br />
Sebastian Gerlach joined the Microsoft Brussels Legal and Corporate Affairs Office<br />
on July 1st, 2007. Mr Gerlach will be running institutional relations in Brussels, with<br />
a particular focus on managing the relationship with the <strong>European</strong> Parliament. He<br />
previously worked with Kreab, a Brussels-based Public Affairs and Communications<br />
Consultancy. Over the last few years he has advised various international companies<br />
among other things on EU company law and corporate governance policy, financial<br />
services, competition and environmental issues.<br />
Ciminera joins Blueprint Partners<br />
Blueprint Partners has expanded its senior team with the appointment of Carla Cimin-<br />
era, who will head up the ICT Division from October 2007. She was previously Director<br />
of the <strong>European</strong> Internet Foundation for six years where she coordinated and ran a<br />
network of Members of the <strong>European</strong> Parliament and industry representatives. Her<br />
experience also includes working at the EU Commission, Ambrosetti, the <strong>European</strong><br />
Savings Bank Group, Goldman Sachs, The Economist/<strong>European</strong> Voice, Singapore<br />
Airlines, the Italian Foreign Affairs Minister, Valentino, and Armani.<br />
Edouard Toulouse joins ECOS<br />
Edouard Toulouse has joined ECOS, the <strong>European</strong> Environmental Citizens‘ Organisa-<br />
tion for Standardisation. Mr Toulouse will facilitate the practical implementation of<br />
EU energy efficiency policies via standardisation and coordination of initiatives sup-<br />
ported by <strong>European</strong> green NGOs with the Directive on the eco-design of energy using<br />
products. Prior to assuming this position at ECOS, Mr Toulouse worked in several<br />
French associations as Energy and Climate Change Officer. He is a trained engineer<br />
who graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris with a Masters degree in environmental<br />
management from Ecole des Mines de Paris.<br />
Andrée Jallon joins Athenora Consulting<br />
The EU affairs consultancy firm Athenora Consulting has further expanded its advisory team<br />
by recruiting Andrée Jallon as Senior Advisor. André Jallon worked as Renault‘s head of<br />
office in Brussels, as a civil servant in the French Ministry, and as a national expert in DG<br />
Competition. She will most notably advise Athenora‘s clients on competition cases.<br />
Simona Urbaityte joins CEEP<br />
The general secretariat of the <strong>European</strong> Centre of Enterprises with Public Participation<br />
has appointed Simona Urbaityte as their new Policy Officer. Her activity fields will<br />
mainly cover energy, the internal market and Services of General Interest. She gained a<br />
Bachelors and Masters of law in Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania, specialising in<br />
Law and Public Administration. Before joining CEEP she worked with the DG Presidency<br />
of the <strong>European</strong> Parliament
