What is MOPS?
MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers,
is a program designed to
encourage and support mothers
with young children through
relationships with other mothers
and access to community
resources and support. A
MOPS group provides a caring,
accepting atmosphere. You’ll have
an opportunity to share concerns,
explore areas of creativity, and
hear instruction that can support
your responsibilities as a mom.
Who is in MOPS?
Mothers come from any
background, lifestyle or religious
affiliation, yet have a similar need
and a shared desire to be the best
mother possible!
When does MOPS meet?
MOPS meets 9:00-11:00am
the 3rd Saturday at South
Campus. Our next meeting is
Saturday, October 20. Childcare
is available for $1 per child!

the next meeting

hours to the all day Saturday event. Cost is $5 for Friday, $10
for Saturday (includes lunch). Enjoy friendship and fun as you
work on your favorite craft or scrapbook project. We will feature
simple instructions for making personal Christmas cards (supplies
provided) at 10:00am and 2:00pm.

Jericho

”By faith the walls of Jericho fell
down after being encircled for seven
days.”—Hebrews 11:30
What are your walls of Jericho?
There are many Jerichos in this life,
the walls of addictions, sickness,
death, rebellion, sin, fears, doubts,
jobs, foreclosures and many other
joy stealers.
Surrendering to God is the first
big step. We live in a society where
we feel it’s all about us. Living a
surrendered life goes against our
natural instinct. Joshua and the
Israelites believed that the walls
would fall if they marched around
the city for seven days; it wasn’t
the logical thing to do but that is
how our big God works. If it were
logical, it would be of man and
not be of faith.
In hindsight, we see the victory. It
may not come in the way we desire.
Sometimes the healing isn’t in this
life. We know that bad things do
happen to believers. W are tested
and we get tired and discouraged
but that is when we need to cling
more to God’s promises.
Corrie ten Boom said, “You can
never learn that Christ is all you
need until Christ is all you have.”
That is the hard lesson of faith;
sometimes learning this comes
through our personal Jerichos.
Dear Lord, help me to live by faith
when facing Jericho. Let me hear
your voice and be obedient when
it makes no sense. Let me trust
you more, believing all things are
possible for you. Amen.
