Hopekids
All Hopekids children (ages 3 through grade 5) and parents are invited to
attend our Back to Hopekids Night Open House. Come and meet your
leaders, tour your classroom and walk through the new Hopekids Check-
In system.
When: Wednesday, August 31, 6:30-8:30pm
Where: Both Campuses
If you haven’t yet registered your child(ren) for Hopekids, this is the last
opportunity to do so before Hopekids begins. We look forward to seeing
you there!
To All Parents of 4 th and 5 th Grade Students at the South Campus:
Space Maxed Out
On Wednesday evenings our space at the
South Campus is maxed out for Children’s
Ministry programming. Currently, based
on fire-code restrictions, our registration
numbers are at capacity. Many families
have been placed on a waiting list as
more parents call needing the Wednesday
option for Christian education. We
anticipate this need to grow in the fall as
we welcome new families and friends,
and as people’s life situations change.
How do We Respond?
The reality of God’s Spirit working mightily
among us has caused us to ask a critical
question, “How do we respond to what
God is doing in this place?”
Oak Grove Elementary School
Best Option
We have explored numerous options,
asking for input and feedback from you as
parents. As a result we have determined
that the best option for us this fall will be
a partnership with Oak Grove Elementary
School (2720 32nd Avenue South, Fargo).
We will rent space from them on
Wednesday evenings, moving our South
Campus 4th and 5th grade class to Oak
Grove Elementary. We will transport these
students by bus from the South Campus
at 6:00pm to Oak Grove Elementary, and
then return to the South Campus no later
than 7:10pm. (Hopekids preschoolers
through grade 3 will continue to have
class at the South Campus from 6:00-
7:00pm). This allows families to continue
to share an evening meal together at
the South Campus before worship and
Hopekids. It also opens up critical space
for families who are on the waiting list to
join in Wednesday evening programming
at Hope Lutheran. Other benefits in
partnering with Oak Grove include space
for future growth and smaller group sizes
to better serve our children.

Baptism Orientation
Plan to attend one of our Baptismal
Orientation classes to learn more about
God’s promises in baptism.

Campus
• Sunday, September 25, 10:00am,
South Campus
• Sunday, October 9, 10:00am, North
Campus
To register for a class, please call the
Church Office, 235-6629. After attending
Baptismal Orientation you will be able to
schedule your baptism.
Be part of this exciting choir for kids in
Grades 1-5 at North Campus. Practice
is Wednesdays, 5:20-5:50pm beginning

Did you know it takes 500 volunteers to
share the Good News of Jesus Christ with
our kids?
Please consider sharing your gifts. We are
still seeking drama team volunteers (once
a month commitment, 8-9 times/year)
and parent helpers.
