Philosophy
McGregor combines specific characteristics of American leisurewear with
European influences. The brand was established in New York in 1921 by a
Scottish immigrant. He introduced the McGregor Coordinated Sportswear
Collection. The collection was designed to create a coherent ensemble, the
design, the fabric and the style of each individual article was compatible
with the rest of the collection.
Today McGregor represents an authentic American sportswear brand
perfectly implementing the preppy look and lifestyle. The today’s collections
are enlarged and now feature Women’s Wear, Business Wear (Distinction)
and Children’s Wear. With these new lines, the visibility of the McGregor
brand across different segments is established. McGregor is an Anglo
American lifestyle brand in the up-market segment of the European fashion
industry and represents the brand values fashion, aspiration, heritage and
quality.
The brand latest endeavor was the launch of ‘Twenty One by McGregor’
collection in Spring Summer 2012, a denim lifestyle collection for all
seasons, which is relaxed and refined, heavy in denim, vintage inspired and
washed down.
