Kitimat was the only
urban center in northern
gain in housing starts this
year, although, at 13
units, it had the lowest
number of starts among
the other centers. All
housing starts in 1995
were for single detached
Overall, Terrace recorded
the largest decline
in residential construction
in northern B.C.,
down 35 per cenl to 9!
starts in 1995. Despite
the decline, residential
construction in Terrace is
second only to Prince
The trend of fewer
Provincially, housing
