<strong>Summary</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>course</strong> <strong>evalu<strong>at</strong>ion</strong>, <strong>DISI</strong> (2 <strong>HEC</strong>), <strong>spring</strong> <strong>2011</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>SLU</strong><br />

• 16 PhD students were registered (7 VBSG, 4 Mykop<strong>at</strong>, 2 Ecology, 1 Animal Nutrition and Management/<br />

Mykop<strong>at</strong> , 1 BVF (VetFak), 1 Clinical Sciences (VetFak))<br />

• St<strong>at</strong>us 100518: 13 passed, 3 pending.<br />

• 12 participants filled in the <strong>evalu<strong>at</strong>ion</strong> form<br />

• For a completely new user <strong>of</strong> the programmes, it was a bit difficult to follow sometimes (4)

• Too basic (2)<br />

• It was good but I think it was better to lecture for a bit, provide an exercise and then let students work with it. And<br />

repe<strong>at</strong>. (4)<br />

• Litet svårt <strong>at</strong>t behålla fokus, men då bra <strong>at</strong>t man kunde arbeta samtidigt. Kanske mer tydlighet i föreläsningens<br />

upplägg vore bra. Markera då något nytt tas upp. (3)<br />

• Had never used illustr<strong>at</strong>or so all was helpful (5)<br />

• Se nr 5 (=Litet svårt <strong>at</strong>t behålla fokus, men då bra <strong>at</strong>t man kunde arbeta samtidigt) Kanske mer tydlighet i<br />

föreläsningens upplägg vore bra. Markera då något nytt tas upp.) (3)<br />

• Very good practice. The hardest part seems to be to sit down to do it, and I felt motiv<strong>at</strong>ed to do so after the 2 days<br />

<strong>of</strong> lectures/<strong>course</strong>. (5)

• 4 hours?? But it was nice to see everyone’s work. Honestly, no time seemed wasted (4)<br />

• Men kanske bra med en träff under projekttiden, för <strong>at</strong>t ställa frågor och få idéer (4)<br />

• Litet praktiskt strul, och vi visste ej hur present<strong>at</strong>ionen skulle genomföras eller hur lång tid vi förväntades ta.<br />

Eller? Kanske miss<strong>at</strong> info… (4)<br />

9. This is a suggestion th<strong>at</strong> would significantly improve the <strong>course</strong>:<br />

• More days (two days was very little time), more practice<br />

• Maybe we should increase the number <strong>of</strong> days for lectures so th<strong>at</strong> we may get more detailed illustr<strong>at</strong>ions<br />

• Would be better to have one day in between <strong>of</strong> photo and illustr<strong>at</strong>or to practice for a while<br />

• I think during the two days we got so much inform<strong>at</strong>ion and was a bit hard to keep all in mind<br />

• We have learned a lot – thank you for a nice <strong>course</strong><br />

• A good computer is needed for the project present<strong>at</strong>ions maybe<br />

• It would have been even better if the <strong>course</strong> would have been given in 3 days.<br />

• A more clear separ<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> lectures / demonstr<strong>at</strong>ions on how to do things and trying them out in exercises. Maybe<br />

half-day lecture and half day exercises supervised by the teacher who answers questions.<br />

• The <strong>course</strong> was r<strong>at</strong>her basic. It would have been nice to go faster and see more advanced uses.<br />

• The assignment description was not really clear.<br />

• I think 2 half days could be sufficient instead <strong>of</strong> 2 full days.<br />
