Clean petroleum
products have a
long way to go.
Although oil consumption in the west continues to climb steadily, the
refinery process is gradually moving east. The inevitable result is a
rising demand for the transportation of clean petroleum products.
As the world’s leading operator of product tankers TORM handles a
large share of the trade. We began expanding our fleet more than a
decade ago in response to oil refinery trends. And, in anticipation of
growing worldwide concern about the environment, every one of those
vessels is double hulled.
Plans are that by 2004 the world’s biggest “pipeline” for refined
petroleum products will be at your service — a fleet of 100 specialized
ships providing safe and efficient distribution to markets worldwide.

The new times for Georg

strongly increasing exports, not
least to Japan where Georg
Jensen’s designed textiles have
turned out to fit perfectly with
the table laying culture. In
addition, products are being
exported to a large number of
countries in Europe, and to
North America.
“The table laying products
still account for the bulk of
sales,” says Hulweg
Christiansen. “But the other
products such as bed linen,
kitchen textiles and towels are
becoming increasingly more
important. Is there any nicer
luxury than to crawl into a bed
which has damask bed linen?”
