C.1: Factors predicting grandparental involvement
In the study statistical models were used to predict various outcomes. In the Tan et
al. paper (in press) noted above the following table was given. As can be seen when
a range of factors were taken into account, higher involvement of the 'closest'
grandparent was predicted by, the grandchild being younger, female, higher contact,
good grandparent health, and the relationship with parents (see model 5).
