Quehenberger with new groupage freight routes in Eastern and
Southeastern Europe
Quehenberger has recently started circulating additional regular groupage freight transports between
countries in Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
Using the new Slovenia - Poland route, groupage shipments are routed from all Balkan countries to
Poland, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and the Baltic states, and vice-versa from Northeastern Europe to
the Balkans.
Here, Logatec in Slovenia and Tychy in Southern Poland act as the hub locations for Southeastern
and Northeastern Europe respectively. Improved quality standards are guaranteed by standardised
procedures, fixed clocked departures and reliable regular terms - the Online Track & Trace tool,
which Quehenberger customers can use to track their shipments, being an essential service.
Quehenberger operates 150 groupage freight routes across Europe, with special focus on further
expanding route transports within Eastern and Southeastern Europe. Accordingly, regular transports
between Slovenia and Bulgaria, between Poland and Ukraine, as well as between Poland and Minsk
(Belarus) have recently started circulating. Due to the capacity of route transports to Moscow and St.
Petersburg being used extensively, further routes going beyond the Urals all the way to Siberia will
be put into service in April. To avoid delays when transporting groupage freight to Russia,
Quehenberger uses its own trucks on the routes to Russia, and also operates its own customs office
at the border on the Polish as well as on the Belarusian side, ensuring that the crossing goes quickly
and smoothly.
With these new transports, Quehenberger is taking into account the increasing trade relationship of
Balkan and former CIS countries (especially Russia), as well as the increasing exports from
Southeastern European countries to Western Europe.
The company operates its own groupage freight network in Austria and 12 Eastern European
countries ranging from Russia to Bulgaria, and has links with highly efficient freight forwarding
partners across Europe.
