ENABLING POSITIVE CHANGE
®

QualiWare invites you to a two day conference of
inspiration and knowledge sharing.
Coherency, Consensus and Consistency (the 3 C’s)
To stay competitive businesses need to react
rapidly to market dynamics. Decision making and
implementation of required transformations is made
diffi cult by the complexity in business and the fact that
for most people change is viewed negatively.
Coherent knowledge about the business must be
captured, managed and analyzed. Consensus is required
among all relevant stakeholders and employees to
ensure successful implementation of transformation
initiatives. Consistency in the change process must be
maintained across the organization. All information
communicated must be transparent, relevant and easy
accessible for everybody.
Mastering these 3 C’s in a continuous process when
working with Enterprise Architecture and Business
Management Systems should be a key focus area for
most organizations. This year’s conference will focus
Roger Burlton: Driving Business Results: Getting on the Right Bus
There are many routes that organizations can take to try to successfully reach their Business
Transformation destination. This session will examine one very successful one. It will explore the
strategic journey taken by a transit enterprise spanning a government transit agency, over 40
municipalities, and over 30 transit operators to arrive at a comprehensive program of long term
multidimensional change affecting and involving all of them.
They are just like you when taking a personal journey whereby you:
• Must know where you will be starting from
• Must know desired destination
• Must evaluate possible ways of getting there
• Must asses your resources to pick your best way to navigate the trip
• Must select the appropriate vehicle for you available at the right time
• Must start the trip and get to the departure point with your belongings stop on time
• Must make sure you are on track
• Must make adjustments if something unplanned happens until you get to the end
In it Roger will expose the methods used that combined and connected strategic planning, stakeholder
environment scan and analysis, process lifecycle development, process architecture development,
process outcome alignment, process interface definition, business performance analysis, pain/gain
assessment, business architecture, IT architecture, portfolio analysis, business case assessment,
program planning and roadmap development.
This initiative was supported from top to bottom using QualiWare Lifecycle Manager sometimes
stretching the out of the box functionality of the tool and forcing some new capabilities to be developed.
The journey will be illustrated by artifacts from the initiative and stories of the journey will be generously
spread throughout the discussion.
Roger Burlton: The Business Process Manifesto Revisited
At last year’s conference Roger introduced the Business Process Manifesto. Since then it has been
exposed to significant input from expert thinkers and practitioners worldwide, undergone serious
consideration and simplification and has been deemed ready for release by the contributing community.
In this session, Roger will reveal the new version which will be made available in multiple languages
concurrently including English and Danish. Throughout the session, Roger will challenge the delegates
to find things wrong with a fun example of an organization’s models and also show one with compliant
behavior. Delegates will receive a poster of the Manifesto principles to take back after the conference.
The updated Business Process Manifesto
• Using it as part of your BPM education and marketing program
• Using it to promote consistency in BPM internally and in the industry
• Using it as part of your BPM principles
• Using as part of your governance program
Dr John Gøtze: Architecting Services for Coherency, Consensus and Consistency
Services are what make enterprises unique, not just in the so-called service industry, but as fundamental
business capabilities of any enterprise. Everything-as-a-Service is the new black. We see it very clearly
in IT: Cloud services and Software-, Platform- and Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA), IT Service management (ITSM/ITIL), and Self-Service. But we also see it in society
at large, with the increasing commodification of healthcare, education, nature, culture and social life.
The seminar will investigate the many service models and how they are related, and how a holistic
approach to enterprise service orientation that combines SOA, ITSM etc. Service-orientation will
simply not work (create value) without Enterprise Architecture (EA). This seminar will show how
enterprise architecture can be used to define and structure business capabilities and services.
Compliance, Audit and Improvement (CAI)
Many companies have experienced diffi culties in their effort to establish a process maturity based on continual
improvements, and to combine agility and compliance with legislation and standards. This has a direct negative on
quality as well as fi nancial results. QualiWare offers the “Compliance, Audit & Improvement” to ensure consensus
and consistency in the audit and improvement work. This leads to positive changes and better quality.
A QualiWare journey via
processes to complete EA
PANDORA started the QualiWare
journey with a focus on processes
and optimization and after 1.5
years the business processes are
becoming an application in both
projects and daily tasks. Over time
the focus has expanded to also
include Enterprise Architecture.
Working systematically with
documentation in a global and
expanding jewelery business
presents many challenges, and
PANDORA’s Enterprise Architect
will describe the establishment of
the conceptual system landscape
using QualiWare, experiences
gained along the way, and the
future intends.
Sikre medarbejderinddragelse
ved forandring
Dokumentation og standardisering
af arbejdsgange behøver ikke
mindske arbejdsglæden og
kundetilfredsheden. Men det
kræver, at man gør en indsats!
Vi præsenterer hvordan vi har
arbejdet med at sikre medarbejderinddragelse
og ejerskab i hele
organisationen. Vi vil også
demonstrere vores ”EpiCenter” live
og vise, hvordan vi har forsøgt at
sammensmelte Business Process
Management og Customer
Relationship Management,
således at vi kan fastholde vores
standardprocesser, uden at vores
service bliver ”one size fi ts all”.
Decision Modeling in
Erhvervsstyrelsen
Business decisions connect the dots
and close the gap between business
processes and business rules. For
Erhvervsstyrelsen examples of
business decisions could be:
• Determine if registration of
new company can be accepted
• Determine if company
can enter into voluntary
liquidation
In this session we will see how
Erhvervsstyrelsen have used
QualiWare to model decisions
and integrate them with business
processes,
Dia Wolffhechel , Erhvervsstyrelsen
All common sessions are in Axelborg main hall and held in English.
The sessions on the different tracks are held in the language used in the
description and take place in:
Track 1 - Enterprise Architecture: TBA
Track 2 - Process Management & Compliance: TBA
The iFactory has arrived - inside the integrated factory, powered by QualiWare
Is your company a railway, a hospital, a university, in oil or gas, mining, or shipping? Are you responsible for the well
being of the physical assets in your company? Do you have one of these problems?
• We need to replace our legacy Asset Management system
• We need to improve the reliability of our assets
• The way we use our maintenance system is a limitation to our growth
• A consultant said we “need to take a look at our processes ...”
• Do we need to be PAS 55 compliant?
• How relevant are the health of our assets to the growth of our business?
Expose your processes, make them visible, drive out the defects, develop the sustainable future you want to grow
into, merge with your other vital processes and embrace a living model.
sertifisert på 6 måneder
ABAX’s kvalitetsløsning var
tradisjonelt dokumentert, lite
tilgjengelig og lite kjent internt.
Behovet for å bli bedre, få kvalitet,
miljø og sikkerhet på banen, gjøre
styringssystemet mer tilgjengelig
og koblet til selskapets verdier
var stort. Beslutning om å bruke
QualiWare ble tatt. Sammen med
innleid faglig kompetanse fra
Steria, ble et prosjekt etablert med
en målsetning om å bli ISO 9001,
14001 og 27001 sertifisert i løpet av
6 måneder. Nemko er i gang med
sertifiseringen og prosjektet antas
avsluttet ila august 2012.
procesarkitektur
København Kommunes shared
forskellige dele af organisationen
og dikteres af forskellige behov,
der spænder fra enhedernes
LEAN-aktiviteter til revisionens
fokus på ansvarsovergange.
Indlægget forkuserer på, hvordan
de forskellige behoven kombineres
således, at man opnår en komplet og
Understanding of HR calls for
new modeling methods
Even though we often work in a
technical environment, only 20% of
our business success is due to our
technical capabilities; 80% comes
from our human engineering skills,
our personality and our ability to
lead people to new processes. An
understanding of the rationale and
feelings of people and their role in
the overall business process calls
for a new method for modeling
organizations and do change
management.
