within this Colony of new York
It waf among other things Inacted that the freeholders are Empowered by the Mogirity of uotes to
Mack and Eftablifh fuch prodencial orders, Rules and derections for Impounding of all Manner of
Cattel or Cretures as the fhall Judge Most proper and Conuenaint by uertue of which act the freeholders
of the weft prefcinct of the County abofie (aid by Magirity of notes 1 lane agreed that no horfe
Gelding Mare nor Colte fhall be fuffered to Run at Large or be turned Into the Rode by any perfon or
persons and if any person or perfons fhall prefume to turne any horfe Gelding Mare or Colte Into the
highway or unimproued Lands fo that they May be Lickly to breack Into any perfon or perfons Land
orchards Gardins or Meadow any person or perfons finding any fuch horfe Gelding Mare or Colt Running
at Large as abode faid May Lawfully Impound them In the Compound In the faid Deuifion or If
the horfes Geldings Mares or Colts Running at Large as abouefaid fhall breack Into any freeholders
Lands aboue Menfhoned the freeholders fo aGreeued May Lawfully Impound them as aforefaid and Recover
the damiges Ufually taken In fuch Cafes notwithftanding the Infoficiancy of the perfons fences
