We propose that the central administration for this program will reside in the Materials Science and Engineering Department, due to the multidisciplinary nature of this department. We agree to allow students from other participating departments to enroll in those of our courses which our department designates as part of this minor, and to give thoughtful consideration to relaxation of prerequisites for declared Nano minor students as deemed appropriate by the individual instructors. We anticipate this will be a minor that the students will find exciting and popular across many Departments from the Colleges of Engineering, CMPS and Life Sciences. There is significant pent-up demand for this educational opportunity throughout the campus and we are looking forward to helping to meet this demand.
