A Very Important Event: Special Olympics
This year Mount Vernon was the scene
of hectic activity as youngsters competing
in the Special Olympics put in hard hours
of practice in the gym and on the field.
Members of the Washington Redskins I
football team were on hand at one point
to cheer them on. We hope to see con
tinued and increasing support of these
events which give handicapped young
people a chance to experience the thrill of
victory.
