FIRST ANNUAL SPRING CARNIVAL<br />

The first annual Mount Vernon College Spring Carnival was<br />
held the first weekend in May, <strong>1980</strong>. Craftsmen, artisans,<br />
clowns and musicians visited the campus to sell their wares or<br />
entertain the community. Each dorm and club sponsored a<br />
booth or game. A kissing booth, cake walk, cotton candy stand,<br />
gold fish throw, and a book sale were only a few of the many<br />
features of the day. The Carnival was planned by the Student<br />
Government Association and the proceeds were given<br />
Board of Directors for dorm renovations.<br />
