in their hotel bed as long as possible. some like to get out and see new things.
and yet another group aren’t even satisfied with that. they like to be challenged.
they are adventurers. they need the adrenalin. or simply fresh air. we all have
our own definition of an adventure. But there has to be at least some element of
a challenge involved. skellefteå boasts a full spectrum of natural adventures and
motor sport that come in many shapes and sizes.

infatable raft through several wild rapids. a basic twoday
course on kayaking in rapids includes swimming in
rapids and the eskimo roll. those afraid of falling in the
water, can try rapids surfing where you are already in
the water with only a small board as an aid.

paintball courses: for fast, explosive play, the gravel pit,
a hilly course with obstacles in the form of car wrecks
and piles of tyres. fields of fear is a bigger field for players
who prioritise strategy and tactics. you should also
have a go at the Bungie run and sumo wrestling!
3 climbing. the region has several rock-climbing
areas at different levels of difficulty with trails. route
descriptions are given in klätterföraren via the link below.
for example, falkberget, which is close to town
and has four types of rock-climbing areas including
several ”classic” ones, or häbbersberget in sandfors,
three rock climbing areas offering list, Grundträsk pocket and
crack climbing. at skellefteå kraft arena, there is also
an indoor climbing wall that is an enormous 14 metres
high and can be adjusted to change the angle of inclination.

5 canoeing. the Byske river is a challeng
ing stretch of water for canoeing and kayaking. glide
to the rhythmic sound of your paddle strokes in the
calm water, or defy the wild rapids that can be quite a
challenge even for the experienced kayaker.

crosskart with a top speed of approx. 60 km/h.
with safety equipment such as a four-point harness,
roll cage, helmet, neck support and goggles so you
can dare to go faster on the 500-metre-long track.

advance for other times if you want the track for just
you and your friends.

13 vitbergets mTb-bana. opened 2009. two
tracks, measuring 2.9 and 5.2 kilometres, threading
their way through the vitberget terrain. varied landscape,
ranging from marshland to rocky woodland and
boulders. the tracks are slightly undulating and,
