A reflective investigation into
processes of illustration and
association, Dreamtime
Revisited, directed by
Lithuanian born Julius Ziz and
Dónal Ó Céilleachair, makes
a fitting tribute to Irish
philosopher and sage John
Moriarty, who died five years
ago just after completing his
distinguished autobiography
Nostos. Using interviews with
Moriarty’s family and close
friends, excerpts from his
books, as well as passages
from his most celebrated
recorded talks and lectures,
the film blends these
predominantly aural
elements with a rich collage
of archive and
contemporary footage.
For the love of reading was
a collaborative film project
between Kerry Library, Kerry
Film Festival and film-maker
Lisa Fingleton. Lisa worked
with nine young people for a
week during the summer of
2012. The young people
learned the basics of how to
make a short film from start
to finish. They interviewed
over twenty people about
their love of reading and the
best books they ever read,
why they read instead of
watching TV and where they
got their love of reading.

musician Willy Vlautin.
He will perform with bassist
Dave Harding from their
alt.country band Richmond
Fontaine. The band has
produced nine studio
albums to date, plus a
handful of live recordings
and EP’s. Driven by
Vlautin’s dark, story-like
songwriting, the band has
achieved critical acclaim
in the USA and across
Europe.

alternative country music.
