only broadened my professional
reasons but helped me alot in
improving my english spoken
skills; this was also a great
occassion for me to interact
with the counterparts from
different cultures and to share
our knowledge and experience
to achieve the common goals
and objectives.
My routine day starts at six in
the morning when passengers
start queuing at the check-in,
and continues until no more
passengers flights or cargos,
vehicle convoys leave or arrive
safely to Goz Beida.
I feel proud of being a volunteer
knowing well that i am greatly
contributing to accomplishment
of goals of a section which
really keeps the mission
running. I particularly recall
the tranfer of authority from
EUFOR to MINURCAT as a
challangeing experience for me,
and i am very glad to share that
i was able to meet the
standarads set by my section to
assure smooth transition.
I am fully convinced and i am
sure others will agree with me
too, that Volunteer spirit
together with UNV Volunteers,
are the essential pillars of
MINURCAT; the work carried
out by my fellow UNV
colleagues earns a special
credit to set up various offices
in the regions (Eastern Chad)
well before several other
international staff arrived in
those duty stations.
I’m proud to be a volunteer and
will continue with the same
spirit, no matter where i am
and what i am doing!!!!!!
As already mentioned by Jacques Heynen, a key role of
MOVCON officers is to load and offload goods from cargo
flights. In these two pictures Jacques is offloading military
rations in Goz Beida.
