ANNUAL QUALITY ASSURANCE REPORT<br />
<strong>2004</strong> - <strong>2005</strong><br />
The NAAC Peer Team visited the <strong>Madras</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>College</strong> in 2003-<strong>2004</strong> for<br />
accreditation and gave recommendations for quality enhancement. The plan of action<br />
projected by the college for the year <strong>2004</strong>-<strong>2005</strong> was based on the Peer Team Report,<br />
taking into consideration the valuable suggestions given by them. The<br />
recommendations of the NAAC Peer Team were studied and considered by the<br />
college authorities and plan for the next five years were formulated on these<br />
guidelines. Introduction of measures that would improve and enhance quality were<br />
scheduled to be implemented in phases in the following years. This apart, the college<br />
is keen to prognostically incorporate measures that would keep in line with both the<br />
vision of the institution and the drastic changes that occur universally. This would<br />
enable the tradition of academic excellence and building of character through love,<br />
unity, brotherhood, industry, uprightness and courage that distinguished the institution<br />
for over 168 years of existence to be carried forward effectively and efficiently.<br />

Part A<br />
Plan of Action: A thorough study of the recommendations of NAAC<br />
Peer Team for quality enhancement<br />
Outcome:<br />
• Establishment of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC): Based on the<br />
recommendations of the NAAC, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was<br />
setup at <strong>Madras</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>College</strong> in the current academic year. The IQAC<br />
committee constituted of Dr. V. Rajagopalan as Coordinator, select members from<br />
the college, a member of the Board of Directors of the college and a representative<br />
from the public who was also an alumnus of the college.<br />
• Enhancement of Library Services: Several steps were taken to enhance the<br />
facilities in the library to provide better services to the teaching and the student<br />
communities. Reprographic facility was provided for students in the library.<br />
Computerization of the various functioning of the library that include availability<br />
of books in the main library and the various departmental libraries were initiated.<br />
• Cafeteria: The college cafeteria was improvised to meet the demands of the<br />
students like introduction of varieties, availability and catering to the increased<br />
student strength subsequent to the introduction of new programmes in the selffinanced<br />
stream.<br />
• Appointment of staff members: Fifteen staff belonging to various departments in<br />
the aided stream was regularized in the measure taken to fill vacancies. Initiatives<br />
were undertaken to address the appointment issues of the self-financed stream<br />
faculty and to streamline them as management faculty.<br />
Plan of Action: To introduce the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) at<br />
the under graduate level of aided stream<br />
Outcome:<br />
The CBCS was extended at the UG level of the aided stream from this academic year<br />
in follow up to CBCS introduction in the curriculum at the Post Graduate level in the<br />
aided stream and both Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels in the self-financed<br />
stream during the academic year 2003-<strong>2004</strong>. The CBCS would strengthen the<br />
academic potential of the students through flexibility in the choice of courses beyond<br />
the framework of the opted discipline and is compatible with the norms practiced in<br />
other institutions both in India and abroad.<br />

Plan of Action: To emphasize service-learning through the curriculum<br />
Outcome:<br />
From a pursuit of mere social concern and service, the college seeks to raise the<br />
quality of life and performance in the extension units which serve the neighbourhood<br />
and the underprivileged. The above is achieved by introducing, among other<br />
extension activities, a service-learning programme in the CBCS that would enable<br />
students to link classroom learning to the service needs of the communities.<br />
Plan of Action: To enhance the quality of extension activities<br />
Outcome:<br />
To maximize the latent potential endowed in the extension units of the college the<br />
programmes were fine tuned and facilities improved. The old Maternity Centre<br />
building of MCC Oxfam School was renovated into a place for student activities.<br />
Plan of Action: To encourage Faculty Improvement Programmes<br />
Outcome:<br />
The teaching faculty was encouraged to participate in Orientation programmes and<br />
Refresher courses, to attend International and National Seminars / Conferences /<br />
Workshops / Training programmes for their career development as well as for the<br />
benefit of the college. They were encouraged to pursue research activities and present<br />
papers in peer forums both in India and abroad. They were also encouraged and<br />
helped to apply for minor and major research projects. Five members of the faculty<br />
registered for Ph.D. programmes.<br />

Part B<br />
1. Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the institution:<br />
Academic excellence, social relevance and spiritual vitality have been the defining<br />
principles of the <strong>Madras</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>College</strong> since its inception. The various activities<br />
during the academic year <strong>2004</strong>-05 reflect how the college marches toward fulfilling<br />
its vision and mission through well planned goals.<br />
a. Academic Excellence<br />
• Choice Based Credit System Monitoring Committee: With a view to enhance<br />
the academic programmes introduced under CBCS during <strong>2004</strong>-05, a monitoring<br />
committee was formed with the Principal, Academic Deans and senior Heads of<br />
Departments, Coordinator of the Self-Financed Programme and the Coordinator of<br />
Examinations as members to address issues that might arise in the implementation<br />
of the CBCS.<br />
• Multi-dimensional Holistic Development: The restructured curriculum provides<br />
for inter- and intra-disciplinary diversification focused on the goal of developing<br />
multi-dimensional personalities. It provides for wide ranging choice for students to<br />
opt for courses based on their aptitude and achieve their career goals. The Under<br />
Graduate curriculum includes a wide category of courses in order to accomplish a<br />
holistic approach to undergraduate education.<br />
• Human Resource Development (HRD) Cell: The HRD Cell was established to<br />
coordinate the personality development and soft skill programmes which is a part<br />
of the innovative CBCS introduced by the college. The Cell is managed by trained<br />
faculty members.<br />
• Freedom of Choice: The interdisciplinary aspect of the system gave the students<br />
the freedom to choose among courses and to gain information about the varied<br />
disciplines. The system thus allowed mobility between various departments.<br />
• Foundation Courses: The foundation courses comprising English Language,<br />
Value Education and Personality Development are useful in inculcating<br />
communication skills, values, positive attitudes and self-esteem to enrich the<br />
quality of life. In addition it benefits the students to face interviews and other<br />
competitive examinations.<br />

• General Course: Each department offers course(s) in this category and it is<br />
obligate for the student to choose course offered by the department to which he/she<br />
does not belong.<br />
• Allied Course: The student has the freedom to opt an allied course from a list of<br />
three offered by the department.<br />
• Elective Course: An inter-disciplinary elective and a general elective offered by<br />
each department impart skill-based knowledge that provides a cutting edge to the<br />
students.<br />
• Environmental Studies: Encourages the students to learn and develop positive<br />
attitude towards the environmental concerns of the society.<br />
• Service-Learning Programme: Provides students an increased scope for utilizing<br />
their academic learning to reach out the society.<br />
• Computer Training: Theory and practical offered as a part of the core major<br />
course helps students to increase their competency and employability.<br />
• Physical Education: Provides students opportunity to develop fitness, competitive<br />
spirit and gamesmanship.<br />
b. Social Relevance<br />
• Service-Learning Programme: Ensures that academic learning is linked to social<br />
needs.<br />
• National Service Scheme: Helps the students to be involved in various<br />
programmes like organizing blood donation and health camps and cleaning the<br />
neighbourhood to serve local community.<br />
c. Spiritual Vitality<br />
• Value Education Programme: Offers courses on Social Ethics, <strong>Christian</strong> Studies,<br />
Social Studies and Gender Studies which fulfills the ethical and spiritual vitality of<br />
the student community.<br />
• Staff Retreat: Organized at the beginning of every academic year to prepare the<br />
faculty for the forthcoming year.<br />
• Staff Study Circle: A monthly program that enables faculty members to deliberate<br />
on the teaching profession as a vocation and cater to the needs of society.<br />
• Staff-Student Retreat: The <strong>College</strong> arranges staff-student retreat to establish<br />
healthy relationship between the students and staff.<br />

• Student <strong>Christian</strong> Movement (SCM): The SCM conducts various programmes<br />
linking academic life to social relevance and spiritual values.<br />
• The Institute for Advanced <strong>Christian</strong> Studies (IACS): The IACS offers<br />
specially designed formal courses to the college community, the public and special<br />
interest groups. These courses offer training in leadership, service, advocacy and<br />
community development for the transformation of self and society.<br />
• Bishop Heber Chapel: Provides fellowship among the <strong>College</strong> community.<br />
2. New academic programmes initiated by the college (UG & PG):<br />
The Department of Zoology has applied to the University of <strong>Madras</strong> to start a Post<br />
Graduate programme on ‘Marine Studies & Coastal Resource Management’ from<br />
June <strong>2005</strong> based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed between <strong>Madras</strong><br />
<strong>Christian</strong> <strong>College</strong> and three other Universities in South Asia.<br />
3. Innovations in curricular design and transaction:<br />
• Major change was effected in the curriculum this year. The Choice Based Credit<br />
System (CBCS) for UG courses in the aided stream was introduced. This resulted<br />
in a major syllabus revision based on the common structure developed by the<br />
college. Details of the changes made by the departments were approved by the<br />
Board of Studies of the respective departments and were passed in the Academic<br />
Council held on 9 June <strong>2004</strong> and 4 April <strong>2005</strong>.<br />
• A PG Diploma programme in Bioinformatics started this year by the School of<br />
Continuing Education.<br />
• Three Career Oriented Certificate courses for the undergraduate students of the<br />
college were sanctioned by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi with a<br />
seed grant of Rs. 2.33 lakhs each. They are<br />

The <strong>College</strong> has collaborations with national and international institutes for research<br />
and training. They are as follows:<br />
• The Department of Economics has collaboration with <strong>Madras</strong> Institute of<br />
Development Studies (MIDS) for research.<br />
• DOORS Project: A Community Mental Health Initiative of the Department of<br />
Social Work, MCC: The Doors Project is a Community Mental Health initiative<br />
that emerged as a response of the Department of Social Work (aided stream) to the<br />
devastation caused by the Tsunami in December <strong>2004</strong>.In collaboration with the<br />
Mediant Mental Health Centre, Holland the project mainly focuses on the mental<br />
health needs of the communities affected by the tsunami within the Sadras Region.<br />
The project reflected upon the need for mental health services in this area and<br />
responded to the same during the period of January <strong>2005</strong> to March 2009. It worked<br />
in four different villages namely Sadras Kuppam, Meyyur Kuppam (Fishing<br />
Villages), Meyyur Marathottam and Kalvaikarai (Dalit Village).<br />
• The Department of Statistics has collaborative research programmes with Indian<br />
Statistical Institute (ISI), Chennai and National Sample Survey Organization<br />
(NSSO).<br />
• The Department of Chemistry has signed an MoU with Orchid Chemicals and<br />
Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Collaborative arrangements exist with leading research<br />
institutions like CLRI, CSIR, CECRI, NEERI, Asthagiri Research Institutions,<br />
IGCAR, and Hindustan Photo Films - Ooty, to carry out PG research projects.<br />

Funds for Improvement of Science and Technology (FIST)<br />
Department of Zoology: The department received a grant of Rs. 19 lakhs for the<br />
purchase of equipment required for the special courses ‘Endocrinology’ and<br />
‘Molecular Biology’. Both staff members and students avail the facility of internal<br />
networking of five computers with a server. Work on neurosteroids has been initiated.<br />
Staff from neighboring colleges bring their students and get exposed to these modern<br />
technologies.<br />
Department of Chemistry: The Department received Rs. 32 lakhs from Department<br />
of Science and Technology (DST) under FIST towards the purchase of equipments<br />
and to train students in computer aided Chemistry and research methodology, at both<br />
UG and PG levels. M.Phil Scholars from Madurai Kamaraj University, Bharathiar<br />
University and Bharathidasan University have availed the instrumentation facility of<br />
the department for their research projects.<br />
18. Community and support services:<br />
National Service Scheme (NSS)<br />
Our NSS volunteers participate in various service programmes like hospital service,<br />
tutorial classes, outreach services, manual labour and campus cleaning. The highlight<br />
of this year’s activities was a special ten-day programme between 21 to 30 January<br />
<strong>2005</strong>. More than hundred volunteers attended this programme and services like<br />
medical camp, manual labour, socio-economic survey of women, sports for the<br />
school children, white washing the school building and AIDS awareness programmes<br />
etc were conducted. Ten of our volunteers participated in an ‘Entrepreneurship<br />

the Directorate General of NCC. This is the first time in history that a Naval Cadet<br />
held the Placard. She saluted the Prime Minister on behalf of the entire Tamil Nadu<br />
contingent. She was awarded a Miniature Trophy. She attended a tea party with the<br />
Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Arun Prakash, Chief Minister of Delhi, Defence<br />

of Rs. 3000/- by Hon’ble Sports Minister, Mr. Inbathamizhan.<br />
Scrub society<br />
The Society organizes campus walk for appreciation and preserving the verdant<br />
campus and for familiarization of the students with the flora and fauna on campus.<br />
The members of the society participated in Deer census on college campus and in the<br />
IAF campus, organized jointly by the <strong>College</strong> Scrub Society and the Tamil Nadu<br />
Forest Department. The society also organized a two day Programme cum Exhibition<br />
on ‘Environmental Awareness’ for School and <strong>College</strong> students during February<br />
<strong>2005</strong>. The members as usual participated in the garbage cleaning activities on campus.<br />
Student guidance service centre<br />
The Student Guidance Service Centre was proactive in the domain of Campus<br />
placement with a wide array of companies like Infosys, Wipro, Hewlett Packard, GE,<br />
Allsec Technologies, Eli Lilly Ranbaxy, D. E Shaw Software, Dell, Google, NewGen,<br />
HDFC, ICICI, Reliance Infocom, Jet Airways, Sify, Welcomegroup etc. conducting<br />
their campus recruitment in the campus benefitting a fairly good section of student<br />
community.<br />
Students service for the blind<br />
The Students Service for the Blind (SSB) continued to be active this year with Mr. C.<br />
Albert of II M.A (Public Administration) as student representative. The SSB<br />
organized a One Day Extension Programme on 04 December <strong>2004</strong>, in connection<br />
with the International Day for the Disabled. Prof. G. Jayaraman (An Alumnus and a<br />
former Professor of English, MCC) President, Welfare Foundation of the Blind,<br />
Chennai, inaugurated the event. The objective of the Extension Programme was to<br />
disseminate the recent developments in the area of Mathematics Education among the<br />
special educators and visually challenged students. Mr. K. Rajagopal, specialist in<br />
Abacus Kit, gave a lecture on the importance of tactile Abacus and conducted a<br />
workshop on its usage. Two educational devices (Tactile Graphic Tool and Kolam<br />
Tactile Cubes) designed by Dr. T. Robinson to make bas-relief line drawing for<br />
statistical and mathematical representations over a trace paper and for making various<br />

Kambi Kolam patterns over wooden cubes were displayed and demonstrated. A<br />
visually challenged alumnus, Mr. Mohammed Zafarullah, Community Development<br />
Officer of Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, delivered the key note address on<br />
‘Education and Career Opportunities for the Visually Challenged’. In the afternoon<br />
there was a planning session by the alumni for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of SSB<br />
during <strong>2005</strong>-2006.<br />
SSB organized an extension programme on Experimental Sciences on 7 th January<br />
<strong>2005</strong>. Dr. Yoshiko Toriyam and Ms. Hamada, experts in the field of disability<br />
sciences from the University of Tsukuba, Japan demonstrated chemistry experiments<br />
with special tools. This programme, experimented for the first time in the country,<br />
was well received by the teachers and students of the special school for the blind. The<br />
dedicated student volunteers of the SSB extended their support for recording and<br />
scribing work during continuous assessment test.<br />
Campus ministries<br />
The activities of the Campus Ministries commenced with the faculty retreat at St.<br />
Thomas International Retreat Centre, Hilltop, St. Thomas Mount where Mr. Wilfred<br />
Davidar, IAS, and Ms. Davidar were guest speakers. The staff- student retreat was<br />
held on 22 nd August <strong>2004</strong> and the speaker was Rev. Dr. Benjamin. The staff have<br />
been conducting their monthly meetings on various themes. This year Campus<br />
Ministries helped 7 of our students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands who were<br />
affected by Tsunami. The various units of the campus ministries are active<br />
instruments to enhance the <strong>Christian</strong> presence in the neighbourhood by inculcating<br />
values and <strong>Christian</strong> principles and offering different service schemes through its<br />
units.<br />
Student <strong>Christian</strong> Movement<br />
The SCM has been judiciously balancing social action with the spiritual concern of<br />
the students by carrying out some significant programmes with the purpose of linking<br />
education offered at MCC with the <strong>Christian</strong> mission of our college. Some of the<br />
activities of the SCM during the academic year were:<br />
• Interactive Workshop on Praise and Worship with Ron Kenony; sessions on<br />
machines and prayer along with God T.V; music programme by Mike Hohnholz<br />

• Music concert on U-SHINE by Powerhouse band, message by Bro Chad & team,<br />
YWAM, USA; the Saviour’s Day led by Dr. Samuel Kamalesan; a session on<br />
Knowing God and making Him known led by Mr. Augustine Jebakumar, Director<br />
of Missions , GEMS and Gospel fest -05 were also organized.<br />
• SCM also conducted a survey on Tsunami hit areas near Mahabalipuram and relief<br />
work at Kokilamedu.<br />

AIM INSIGHTS, Mangalore, under the Convenership of Dr. Sarprasatha Joe was<br />

25. Computerization of administration and the process of admissions and<br />
examination results, issue of certificates:<br />
Administrative functioning such as Admissions Office, Student Records Office,<br />
Examination Office and Bursar’s Office are fully computerized. Examination results<br />
are made available online printing of certificates is automated.<br />
26. Increase in the infrastructural facilities:<br />
All the existing laboratories in the science departments were upgraded. Computer labs<br />
are available in the Departments of Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Botany,<br />
Commerce (aided stream) and MCA, BCA, Commerce and Media Studies in the Self-<br />
Financed stream. Internet facility for students has been upgraded.<br />
The turning of the first sod ceremony was held for extension of the Martin Hall with<br />
an auditorium, additional block and other facilities. This would accommodate<br />
additional sixty women students.<br />
27. Technology up-gradation:<br />
Internet connectivity, scanners, projectors, Liquid Crystal Display, fax machine, TV<br />
with dish antenna and PA system facilities are available. Digital media (CD, DVD)<br />
are used to disseminate knowledge.<br />
New technologies in various fields in the departments were initiated. Tally was<br />
introduced to maintain accounts for the college.<br />
28. Computer and internet access and training to teachers and students:<br />
There is a student internet centre inside the college where students can go and access<br />
free of cost. This centre opens at 9.00 am and closes at 4.30 pm on all working days.<br />

29. Financial aid to students:<br />
Financial Aid in the form of scholarships from the Government and also from the<br />
<strong>College</strong> is available for the students. Scholarships are given based on criteria<br />
specified.<br />

• Shri J.W. Raj Anderson Memorial Endowment Fund instituted by Dr. R.<br />
Rajkumar, former Head, Department of Commerce in memory of his father for<br />
award of financial assistance to an alumnus cum researcher of the Department of<br />
Commerce. The amount endowed is Rs. 1 lakh.<br />
• V.T. Ranganayaki Ammal Memorial Prize instituted by Mrs. Inida Sampath (sister<br />
of Dr. V. T. A. Bhargava, former Head of the Department of Physics), an alumnus<br />
of the college during 1964-69 for I year B.Sc. Zoology woman student based on<br />
merit. The amount endowed is Rs. 10,000/-<br />
• Rukmani Mantramurti Memorial Gold Medal, instituted by Mr. V.D. Mantramurti,<br />
(father of Dr. Alexander Mantramurti, former Principal of the college), an<br />

30. Activities and support from the alumni association:<br />
<strong>AQAR</strong> <strong>2004</strong>-<strong>2005</strong>, MADRAS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, CHENNAI<br />
• The Alumni Association met on various occasions and extended its support<br />
towards the activities of the college.<br />
• A concert was organized by the Alumni Association at the <strong>Madras</strong> <strong>Christian</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong> School, Chetpet during Christmas. This concert, a yearly programme<br />
encourages leading choirs from the city as well as from other states to participate.<br />
• The Alumni Association also took part in the Old Boys Cricket Match held at the<br />
college ground on 12 February (2 nd Saturday).<br />
31. Activities and support from the Parent-Teacher Association:<br />
• Most parents or guardian attend the orientation programme offered to the students<br />
at the beginning of the academic year.<br />
• Parents or guardian sign in their wards admission records and also check the<br />
progress of students in the department.<br />
• Parents or guardian of residential students keep track of their wards through<br />
warden and other resident staff belonging to the respective hall.<br />
• The Dean of Student Affairs periodically contacts parents based on academic<br />
progress and disciplinary aspects.<br />
• At the departmental level, the Head of Department invite parents as and when<br />
needed to discuss the progress of their wards.<br />

• A resident medical officer caters to the needs of the student and faculty on campus.<br />
• Basic medical treatment is provided for all the members of staff and students.<br />
• The medical officer also visits the college extension centers to provide health<br />
services for the poor and the marginalized.<br />
33. Performance in sports activities:<br />
• The college basketball team won the Bertram Memorial Shield after sixty five<br />
years.<br />
• The basketball team also won the state level Evangeline Memorial Trophy<br />
organized by the Karunya Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.<br />
• The University of <strong>Madras</strong> team that won the South Zone and All India Inter-<br />
University Basketball Tournaments had a rich representation of seven members<br />
from MCC.<br />
• K. Tamilchelvan of III B.A. Philosophy won gold medal in high jump with a new<br />
meet record at the All India Inter-University Championship organized by<br />
Nagarjuna University. He also created new meet record at the prestigious A.L.<br />
Mudaliar meet.<br />
• B. Arivazhan of III B.A. Philosophy won silver medal in 4 x 100m relay at the All<br />
India Inter-University Championship held organized by Nagarjuna University.<br />
• Two athletes namely, A. Gopinath, I M.A. Public Administration and U.<br />
Dhanasekarapandian of II M.A. Public Administration represented Tamil Nadu<br />
State at the senior level.<br />
• Three athletes represented the Tamil Nadu State at the junior level.<br />
• K. Baskar, a student of III B.A. Political Science, won a gold medal in Boxing at<br />
the <strong>Madras</strong> University Championship. He also represented the University along<br />
with S. Karthiravan, yet another student of I B.A. Political Science. S. Kathiravan<br />
had the distinction of representing Tamil Nadu State at the Senior National Boxing<br />
Championship held at Haryana.<br />

To encourage the sportspersons boarding and lodging are provided free of cost in the<br />
halls wherein a special diet is provided. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding<br />
sportspersons. Academic assistance is provided wherever necessary.<br />
35. Student achievements and awards:<br />
The students of the Department of Social Work, under the auspices of SEWA<br />
organized the following programmes:<br />
• The Independence Day celebration on 14 August <strong>2004</strong>.<br />
• World Peace Day celebration on 22 September <strong>2004</strong>.<br />
• World AIDS Day was commemorated on 1 December <strong>2004</strong> by distributing red<br />
ribbons and a street play was enacted near the college cafeteria as part of the<br />
awareness programme.<br />
• On Human Rights Day on 10 December <strong>2004</strong> was a human chain was formed by<br />
the students near the <strong>College</strong> Main Gate. Skits focusing on human rights were<br />
enacted and informative pamphlets emphasizing the importance of human rights<br />
were distributed to the general public.<br />
• As a part of outreach programme, staff and students of various Departments<br />
celebrated the joy of Christmas by having a social outreach programme at the<br />
Michael’s Children Home, Kilpauk on 20 December <strong>2004</strong>. The programme<br />
included interaction with the orphans, entertainment and distribution of gifts.<br />
The Students of the Department of Mathematics bagged the Overall Rolling Trophy<br />
of the Inter-Collegiate Mathematics Competition conducted by Loyola <strong>College</strong>,<br />
November <strong>2004</strong>; bagged the Overall Shield of the Inter-Collegiate Mathematics<br />
Competition conducted by Guru Nanak <strong>College</strong>; and participated in the State Level<br />

38. Development programmes for non-teaching staff:<br />
• There is a forum for the non-teaching staff members of this college. Members of<br />
this forum meet often to discuss the various issues pertaining to their progress. An<br />
Annual retreat was organized for the non teaching staff members to promote<br />
oneness and spiritual renewal.<br />
• Sports events were exclusively conducted for them to encourage comradeship.<br />
• Tour was organized to bring about unity and brotherhood amongst the members of<br />

elected body of student representatives. There are ample opportunities for students to<br />
develop their skills in the hall system. The hall system help in reinforcing the spirit of<br />
oneness fosters the idea of sharing and exposes wards to crisis management and<br />
