Organizational Chart:
Products:
Pipe hangers & supports can be broadly classified in to the following categories,
 Variable Spring Hangers
 Constant Spring Hangers
 Dynamic Restraints
 Sliding Supports
 Pipe Clamps & Ancillaries
 Additional Ancillaries
14 | P a g e

1. Variable Spring Hangers:
The Variable Spring Hangers are designed to operate above the pipe & below the structure, so that the
pipe floats.
These units are finished with a variety of high-quality yet cost-effective surface protection coatings such
as Synthetic Enamel, Epoxy Paints, Hot-dip Galvanization and more.
The vertical travel ranges are 35mm, 70mm and 140mm; with its load capacity ranging from 23kg to
13500kg.
2. Constant Spring Hangers:
The Constant Load Hangers are designed with the Bell Crank Lever & force over its entire thermal
movement.
Helical Spring Mechanism to provide a constant Various models & types are available to suit various
installation & space envelope requirements.
The maximum travel range is 410mm and can hold a load of 8031kg.
15 | P a g e

3. Dynamic Restraints:
Pipe work can be subjected to transient dynamic loads when external forces act on the pipe, such as
Safety Relief Valve blow-outs, Seismic events, Water Hammers, two phase flows, etc. These uncontrolled
vibrations can seriously damage pipe work. By the use of Rigid Struts and Shock Absorbers these
damages can be prevented.
4. Sliding Supports:
Low Friction Bearings are used to accommodate lateral movements in pipe work by using PTFE, Bronzefilled
PTFE or Graphite Pads with mirror finished stainless facing plates.
16 | P a g e

5. Pipe Clamps & Ancillaries:
(Rigid Hangers, U-Bolts, Clamps, Guides, Pipe Stools, Pipe Shoes, Pipe Saddles, etc.)
These components are essential for connecting the spring supports to the structural steel and
connecting pipes to spring supports. These have been designed for specific loads to ensure complete
compatibility. Typical products for vertical pipes and pipe shoes are two bolt, three bolt, horizontal
clamps and riser clamps. They are manufactured from materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel and
stainless steel. The clamps can withstand a wide range of temperatures and come in sizes ranging from
15NB (nominal bore) to 1000NB.
17 | P a g e

6. Additional Ancillaries:
(Beam Attachment, Eye Nut, Turn Buckle, etc.)
These miscellaneous standard components are designed to support pipe work. Examples are U-bolts,
Spherical Ball Rockers, Rod-couplers, Hanger Rods, Turn Buckles, Forged Eye Nuts, Clevises, etc. They are
made in sizes ranging from M8 to M100.
Services:
19 | P a g e
Services include
– Verify existing pipe supports properties
– Pipe Stress Analysis
– Retrofit Jobs
We also provide onsite services to check for the following:
– For Poor support design
– Incorrect load settings
– Poor quality of supports components
– Wrong installations of pipe supports

Site Survey & Service:
Existing piping and pipe support systems will be surveyed for their adequacy and durability. Suggestions for
increasing the life span of existing facilities are also offered as part of our service..
Field Service
Pictures of Spring hangers during Field Service
As we can see from the above pictures, the hangers were totally rusted, in some cases springs are over loaded &
few were spring broken. Since this plant was running for more than 30 years, the name plate also exhausted. We
have replaced the spring by going the spring vendor catalogue & choose the spring nearest to our KEKSA’s range.

• As we can see from the above picture, the hanger was not taking the loads properly.
• Load adjustment required by adjusting turnbuckle for hanging supports & load nut adjustment required
for bottom supports.
• To come over from these issues, we need to concentrate to our initial commissioning.
