RESOLUTION NO. 2223 WHEREAS, Flathead County has proposed to name a private road generally running southerly off the proposed Sage Lane which will run southeasterly off Anderson Lane and located in the SW¼ SE¼ Section 9, Township 28 North, Range 21 West, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, held a public hearing on September 28, 2009 concerning the proposal, after publication and mailing of notice thereof on September 15 & September 22, 2009, and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, has determined that the road should be named Douglas Drive. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, that the private road generally running southerly off the proposed Sage Lane which will run southeasterly off Anderson Lane and located in the SW¼ SE¼ Section 9, Township 28 North, Range 21 West,, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana, should be, and it hereby is, named Douglas Drive. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the naming of Douglas Drive shall be effective on September 28th, 2009. Dated this 28th day of September, 2009. Dupont Others present: Assistant Mike Pence, Assistance Planning & Zoning Director B J Grieve, Rick Breckenridge, Clerk Kile Chairman Lauman reviewed a letter from Jackola Engineering requesting the release of collateral for Alpine Industrial Park Subdivision, Phase 2 which states for all practical purposes the work is complete. Grieve reported the SIA for Alpine Industrial Park Subdivision, Phase 2 expired on August 21, 2009; a 30 day grace period was given and it appears the remaining work has been completed. Commissioner Brenneman made a motion to release collateral for Alpine Industrial Park Subdivision, Phase 2. Commissioner Dupont seconded the motion. Aye - Lauman, Brenneman and Dupont. Motion carried unanimously. Grieve then updated the commission on SIA’s for Buffalo Mountain and Saddlehorn Subdivision’s. AUTHORIZATION TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: PERMISSIVE MEDICAL LEVY 9:50:33 AM Members present: Chairman Dale W. Lauman Commissioner Joseph D. Brenneman Commissioner James R. Dupont Others present: Assistant Mike Pence, Finance Comptroller Joe Garza, Debbie Boreson, Clerk Kile Commissioner Brenneman made a motion to authorize the publication of the Notice of Public Hearing and authorized the chairman to sign. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2009 (Continued) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PERMISSIVE MEDICAL LEVY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 2-9-212, M.C.A., that the Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, will hold a public hearing to receive comment from the public on the Board’s intention to levy $1,079,629 for the permissive medical levy. The increase in the permissive medical levy for the 2009-2010 fiscal year is $82,865. The permissive medical levy is used to pay for premium contributions for the group health insurance program for County employees and is not subject to the statutory limitations on increases in County mill levies. The public hearing will be held on the 21 st day of October, 2009, at 9:00 o'clock a.m., in the Earl Bennett Building Conference Room, Second Floor, 1035 1 st Avenue West, Kalispell, Montana. Any member of the public may appear and will be heard concerning the Board’s intention to levy $1,079,629 for the permissive medical levy. The Board will meet on the 21 st day of October, 2009, at 9:00 o'clock, a.m. for the purpose of holding a hearing and fixing the final budget and making appropriations. Said Meeting is to be held in the Earl Bennett Building Conference Room, Second Floor, 1035 1 st Avenue West, Kalispell, Montana. Any taxpayer or resident may appear at the hearing and will be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget.
