4.4.5 Two or More Competitors are Ranked 10th<br />

In <strong>the</strong> event where two or more competitors are ranked 10th in <strong>the</strong> race, <strong>the</strong>y<br />

shall all be taken into consi<strong>der</strong>ation <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> penalty calculation, as long as <strong>the</strong>y<br />

are included in <strong>the</strong> five with <strong>the</strong> best FIS <strong>points</strong>.<br />

4.4.6 Two or More Competitors have <strong>the</strong> fifth best FIS Points<br />

If two or more competitors have <strong>the</strong> fifth best FIS <strong>points</strong>, which should be taken<br />

into consi<strong>der</strong>ation <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> penalty calculation, <strong>the</strong> competitor with <strong>the</strong> higher<br />

race <strong>points</strong> will be consi<strong>der</strong>ed <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> penalty calculation. (Reason: better<br />

penalty).<br />

4.4.7 Calculation<br />

- The best five FIS <strong>points</strong> or <strong>the</strong> maximum value of <strong>the</strong> first ten classified<br />

competitors (= sum A), and <strong>the</strong> best five competitors who started in <strong>the</strong> FIS<br />

<strong>points</strong> ranking (= sum B) are added. Now <strong>the</strong> race <strong>points</strong> of <strong>the</strong> competitors<br />

with <strong>the</strong> best five FIS <strong>points</strong> are added (= sum C). The maximum value of <strong>the</strong><br />

race <strong>points</strong> will be calculated if <strong>the</strong>y are higher than <strong>the</strong> maximum of <strong>the</strong><br />

corresponding competition (DH 310, SL 145, GS 200, SG 250, SC 250).<br />

- Now <strong>the</strong> sum of <strong>the</strong> race <strong>points</strong> will be subtracted from <strong>the</strong> sum of <strong>the</strong> best<br />

five FIS <strong>points</strong> of <strong>the</strong> ten classified and <strong>the</strong> best five competitors who started.<br />

The resulting figure shall <strong>the</strong>n be divided by ten (sumA + sumB – sumC):10)<br />

4.4.8 Rounding Up and Down <strong>the</strong> Penalties<br />

The <strong>points</strong> shall be rounded down from four thousandths of a point downwards<br />

and rounded up from five thousandths of a point upward (e.g. 13.654 = 13.65 or<br />

21.849 = 21.85).<br />

4.4.9 Super Combined<br />

FIS <strong>points</strong> are awarded <strong>for</strong> speed events (DH or SG) in all FIS events except in<br />

World and Europa Cup. Only if <strong>the</strong> competitor has completed both runs does<br />

he/she receive FIS <strong>points</strong>. The FIS point penalty will be applied taking into<br />

consi<strong>der</strong>ation <strong>the</strong> technical data.<br />

If <strong>the</strong> SL run takes place be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong> DH or SG, competitors who DNS, DNF or<br />

DSQ will start in DH or SG with <strong>the</strong>ir original bib after <strong>the</strong> last competitor who<br />

qualified in <strong>the</strong> SL run.<br />

4.4.10 FIS <strong>points</strong> <strong>for</strong> KO<br />

FIS <strong>points</strong> will be calculated <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> European Cup KO qualification run.<br />

4.5 Category Ad<strong>der</strong> and Minimum/Maximum-Value<br />

The category ad<strong>der</strong> and minimum/maximum values will be published on each<br />

valid FIS <strong>points</strong> list (1 st page).<br />

4.6 Injury Status<br />

4.6.1 Registration<br />

When a competitor injures himself and applies <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> single penalty, <strong>the</strong><br />

National Ski Association must apply to <strong>the</strong> FIS as soon as possible or latest<br />

30 th of April <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> approval. using <strong>the</strong> official <strong>for</strong>m and submitting a medical<br />

certificate. This official <strong>for</strong>m and medical certificate is valid only <strong>for</strong> one season<br />

(WC: see WC Rules art 21.2)<br />

4.6.1.1 Conditions<br />

- At least 8 months must have been passed between <strong>the</strong> time of <strong>the</strong> injury and<br />

<strong>the</strong> competitors 1 st start.<br />
