KexP listeners seek out new sounds, and exposure on KexP<br />
often provides artists with some of their earliest and most ardent<br />
fans, which in turn can drive record sales, concert attendance,<br />
and additional career opportunities. Being featured in a KexP<br />
podcast or <strong>video</strong> of an in-studio performance means that an<br />
artist’s music can captivate an audience of millions, and the<br />
enjoyment of live music is not limited by the capacity of a<br />
single venue. “KexP is an excellent support network for artists<br />
of all kinds,” says reed Jeunger of Beat connection. in <strong>2011</strong>,<br />
KexP hosted 572 performances in our studios in seattle; at<br />
the cutting room in new York city; from Mellow Johnny’s<br />
Bike shop in austin, tx; the Doug fir lounge in Portland,<br />
or; and from major festivals including Bumbershoot, capitol<br />
hill Block Party, and sasquatch Music festival. We produced<br />
our first international remote broadcast at iceland airwaves<br />
music festival in reykjavik, iceland, recording 34 bands in six<br />
days from multiple locations. Partnering with nPr on a live<br />
web stream from sasquatch Music festival was also a popular<br />
broadcast, exposing a significant number of music lovers to<br />
both KexP and sasquatch artists.<br />
