Solutions with Supervisory<br />
Modules (SM40 or SM45) are the<br />
ideal solution for low to medium<br />
power d.c. to d.c. conversion<br />
applications that require compact,<br />
efficient, flexible and remotely<br />
monitored d.c. power solutions.<br />
These systems cater for a range<br />
of DC inputs (12V to 110V) and<br />
either 24 or 48V output.<br />
Typical applications are for<br />
conversion of DC power voltages<br />
for Telecommunications, IT or<br />
Industrial equipment.<br />
These 19” rack mount systems<br />
are available in two basic<br />
configurations, 3U and 6U. The<br />
<strong>MCS3</strong> is a 3 converter bay subrack.<br />
It can be used with<br />
additional sub-racks to increase<br />
the output power. The MCS6 is a<br />
6 converter bay sub-rack that<br />
features a larger miniature circuit<br />
breaker (MCB) cage. (See<br />
separate brochure)<br />
MCU plug-in converter unit<br />
The SM40 and SM45<br />
supervisory modules<br />
provide monitoring of the<br />
system output voltage and<br />
load current, and status<br />
alarms that can be<br />
displayed and changed<br />
via the LCD display and<br />
keypad.<br />
The SM40 features<br />
RS232 and voltage free<br />
relays for system<br />
monitoring, whilst the<br />
SM45 supervisory module<br />
adds extra advanced<br />
communications features<br />
including built in Ethernet<br />
interface, Web server,<br />
SNMP traps, SMS and<br />
dial out.<br />
Both the SM40 and SM45<br />
can be interrogated and<br />
monitored by <strong>Eaton</strong>s’<br />
standard DC Tools and<br />
<strong>Power</strong>Manager II software<br />
packages.
