At <strong>the</strong> <strong>Flint</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Arts</strong>,<br />
we believe Art is a visual<br />
language. It is a portal<br />
to <strong>the</strong> inner world <strong>of</strong> a<br />
child and a tool that can<br />
communicate both truth<br />
and imagination. It is <strong>the</strong><br />
basis for learning <strong>the</strong> skills <strong>of</strong><br />
organization, cooperation,<br />
problem solving, focus<br />
and refinement. And it<br />
serves as <strong>the</strong> groundwork<br />
for developing patience,<br />
perseverance, determination<br />
and respect. Early childhood<br />
programs foster <strong>the</strong><br />
development <strong>of</strong> reading,<br />
thinking, and creative<br />
skills needed to succeed in<br />
school and in life. A fee <strong>of</strong><br />
$3 per student covers art<br />
