Ideal for youth groups as<br />

well as adult service<br />

groups or businesses. Learn basic skills using a compass and pace to<br />

work together with your group to find your way outdoors in the<br />

evening hours. Travel an unknown route throughout <strong>Oakdale</strong><br />

grounds using these newfound skills. The evening will climax with a<br />

campfire and refreshments to debrief the experience.<br />

TEAM BUILDING FOR YOUTH<br />

“Team Building” activities or initiatives can help<br />

newly formed groups get to know each other or<br />

teams work together better. Improve communication,<br />

empathy, trust and bonding among your<br />

group. The beginning of<br />

the school year is a great<br />

time to schedule a date at<br />

<strong>Oakdale</strong>. Groups can range<br />

from 7-16 people per<br />

facilitator with a 3-hour<br />

minimum.<br />

GROUP GAMES<br />

If you want to have fun at<br />

your overnight retreat,<br />

family reunion or other gettogether,<br />

staff to assist you!<br />

Activities may include getto-know-you-better<br />

games,<br />

parachute games, variety of active games such as tag and team<br />

initiatives – all in the spirit of fun! Activities will be planned<br />

according to the ages of your group. Groups can range from12-30<br />

people.<br />

These workshops take place outdoors<br />

at <strong>Oakdale</strong> – in case of<br />

inclement weather, we’ll head indoors.<br />

Each badge workshop will take 2-4 hours depending on the age.<br />

Fees are $4/Scout/ badge; 16 Scouts minimum.<br />

It is the scout leader’s responsibility to provide the badges.<br />

GROUP CAMPING- NON-PROFIT GROUPS<br />

We now have 3 areas where groups can camp with a fire ring and<br />

where firewood is available. Use of these sites for camping is<br />

available for youth groups such as scouts, 4-H and church groups.<br />

The campsites are accessible by foot.<br />
