The system is universally applicable for production<br />

machinery, primary and secondary packaging, end-ofline<br />

packaging and robotics<br />

The system architecture is based on open, internationally<br />

accepted hardware and software standards that<br />

protect your investment, reduce overhead costs, and<br />

provide cost effective access to production and diagnostic<br />

data<br />

With the integrated motion/logic software, run in a<br />

standardized IEC 61131-3 program and on a single<br />

Pentium class processor, you achieve the highest performance<br />

and lowest engineering costs<br />

With EPAS-4, a single integrated software tool, you can<br />

configure and diagnose the complete system,<br />

parameterize and commission the servo axes and field<br />

bus devices, and program motion and logic<br />

Jerk-free motion generation for all axes as well as onthe-fly<br />

motion corrections and changes of master axes<br />

are performed in the controller to prevent unnecessary<br />

network delays, rather than distributed to the drives as<br />

in previous generations<br />

The complete system is fully digital, supports at least<br />

99 servo axes per controller and can be synchronized in<br />

real time with another 40 controllers<br />

The system is open for the integration of other systems,<br />

such as human-machine interfaces with or without<br />

Windows, field buses and field bus modules, variable<br />

frequency drives and servo <strong>motors</strong><br />

Only IEC standard programming languages, device<br />
