Swept volume letter The swept volume letter describes the theoretical swept volume flow of the compressor and will be described with letters. The letters are identical with the letters of the compressor frame sizes. The frame size letter and the swept volume letter are the same in standard execution. If not, the particular frame size has a reduced suction volume flow. This is special compressor design and considered as a „heavy duty execution”. Maximum allowable pressure The maximum allowable pressure is based on DIN EN 378-1 and describes the limits for operating pressure, which may not be exceeded at the compressor during operations or after shut down of the plant. In addition, the maximum allowable loads on the drive shafts and bearings shall also be taken into account, which then result in the operating conditions for the compressor (suction pressure, discharge pressure). The maximum allowable pressure is marked on the nameplate of the compressor. The compressors are available in standard versions for three maximum allowable pressures: - 28 bar.g - 52 bar.g - 130 bar, only for size "AC" Differing from the standard versions a different maximum allowable pressure can be agreed depending on the application.
