public health systems: <strong>Broward</strong> Health and<br />
Memorial Healthcare System.<br />
Recognized nationally for its excellence<br />
in healthcare, <strong>Broward</strong> Health is an<br />
integrated public health system working<br />
to meet the needs of the region’s business<br />
community as well as patients and families.<br />
Formerly known as the North <strong>Broward</strong><br />
Hospital District, <strong>Broward</strong> Health offers a<br />
full spectrum of healthcare services with<br />
numerous centers of clinical excellence<br />
that meet national standards for healthcare<br />
quality and safety.<br />
One of the five largest public health systems<br />
in the nation, <strong>Broward</strong> Health was the only<br />
hospital system in Southeast Florida to be<br />
included on the 2010 list of SDI’s (healthcare<br />
analytics provider) top 100 U.S. integrated<br />
healthcare networks. It operates more than 30<br />
facilities, including <strong>Broward</strong> General Medical<br />
Center, North <strong>Broward</strong> Medical Center,<br />
Imperial Point Medical Center, Coral Springs<br />
Medical Center, the Chris Evert Children’s<br />
Hospital, Weston Regional HealthPark,<br />
<strong>Broward</strong> Community Health Services and<br />

The Comprehensive Cancer Programs at<br />
both <strong>Broward</strong> General Medical Center<br />
and North <strong>Broward</strong> Medical Center have<br />
been approved by the American College of<br />
Surgeons Commission on Cancer and are<br />
affiliated with the world-renowned H. Lee<br />
Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute<br />
in Tampa.<br />
Founded in 1953, Memorial Healthcare<br />
System is the largest healthcare system in<br />
southern <strong>Broward</strong>, nationally recognized for<br />
its high quality of care. It was one of only three<br />
healthcare systems nationwide to earn the<br />
Premier Award for Quality (AFQ) from the<br />
Premier healthcare alliance for outstanding<br />
patient care and clinical excellence.<br />
Memorial’s facilities include Memorial Regional<br />
Hospital and its Joe DiMaggio Children’s<br />
Hospital in Hollywood, Memorial Regional<br />
Hospital South in Hollywood, Memorial<br />
Hospital West and Memorial Hospital<br />
Pembroke in Pembroke Pines, and Memorial<br />
Hospital Miramar in Miramar. Other facilities<br />
include Memorial Manor Nursing Home.<br />
Memorial Healthcare System provides a<br />
complete range of medical and surgical<br />
services including a certified trauma center,<br />
the Cardiac & Vascular Institute and the<br />

Tenet Healthcare, the nation’s second largest<br />
provider of healthcare services, operates 10<br />
acute care hospitals in the tri-county region,<br />
including North Shore at FMC Campus in<br />
Lauderdale Lakes. Its Florida headquarters is<br />
located in Coral Springs.<br />
With Baptist Medical Plaza at Davie and<br />
Baptist Medical Plaza at Coral Springs, Baptist<br />
Health operates state-of-the-art outpatient<br />
centers with diagnostic imaging, as well as<br />
urgent care centers with high-end amenities.<br />
Established in Weston in 1988, Cleveland<br />
Clinic Florida is a part of The Cleveland<br />
Clinic Foundation in Ohio, a non-profit,<br />
multi-specialty referral group practice,<br />
renowned worldwide for providing medical<br />
excellence with an emphasis on research and<br />
education. Cleveland Clinic Florida was one<br />
of only 13 hospitals in the nation recognized<br />
by the American Heart Association for the<br />
highest level of performance.<br />
Fort Lauderdale’s Holy Cross Hospital<br />
has been serving <strong>Broward</strong> patients since<br />
1955. Holy Cross is a member of Catholic<br />
