game 11
packers vs. giants
NOVEMBER 25, 2012
giants 38, packers 10
The Giants and Packers met for the first time since the 2011 NFC Divisional Round –
where New York went into Green Bay and defeated the 15-1 Packers en route to winning
the Super Bowl – and continued their dominant play against their NFC Central foe, cruising
to a 38-10 win in a Sunday night matchup.
The Giants were firing on all cylinders early, as their balanced attack on offense and
swarming defense led to a 31-10 lead at halftime. For the Giants offense, which had
struggled to score touchdowns over the last three games, this game was a breath of fresh
air, as they reached the end zone five times with two rushing scores and two receiving
scores. Rueben Randle’s 16-yard touchdown reception to give the Giants the lead back at
14-7, the first of his career, put the Giants ahead for the rest of the game.
Eli Manning completed 16-of-30 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns, the last of
which allowed him to pass Phil Simms to become the Giants all-time leader in passing
touchdowns with 200. Andre Brown scored on a two-yard run to give him one rushing
touchdown in each of the last four games. Randle, Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks
all hauled in one touchdown reception each from Manning of 16, nine and 13 yards,
respectively. Mathias Kiwanuka recorded two sacks, Osi Umenyiora recorded a sack and
a forced fumble and Michael Boley led the team in tackles with seven.
