Joe Ferraro Athletic Trainer<br />
Joe Ferraro, a member of the <strong>Duke</strong> Athletic<br />
Department for 13 years, serves as the athletic<br />
trainer for the Blue Devil men’s lacrosse program.<br />
A native of Cockeysville, Md., Ferraro<br />
handles the health care for <strong>Duke</strong>’s men’s lacrosse,<br />
men’s track and field, and men’s and women’s<br />
golf. He joined the <strong>Duke</strong> Athletic Training Staff in the<br />
fall of 1995 after serving as the Acting Head Athletic<br />
Trainer at Guilford College in the spring of 1995.<br />
Ferraro, 37, earned a bachelor of science<br />
degree in justice & policy studies from Guilford<br />
College in 1993, and went on to earn a master of<br />
science degree in injury prevention & management from Springfield College in<br />
1999.<br />
Roy Skinner Coach Emeritus<br />
College athletics veteran Roy Skinner is no<br />
stranger to <strong>Duke</strong> lacrosse, having served as an<br />
assistant coach twice from 1962-66 and 1974-75<br />
and as the Blue Devils’ co-head coach from 1967-<br />
70 with Bruce Corrie. Skinner and Corrie coached<br />
the Blue Devils to an overall record of 21-25.<br />
In addition, Skinner, a longtime faculty<br />
member in the Physical Education department,<br />
spent 17 years with <strong>Duke</strong>’s men’s soccer program,<br />
serving as an assistant coach from 1959-65 and as<br />
head coach from 1966-76. Skinner’s head<br />
coaching record in soccer was 71-45-5 and he<br />
guided <strong>Duke</strong> to its first NCAA Tournament in 1972. He also served as <strong>Duke</strong>’s<br />
assistant wrestling coach from 1959-62.<br />
A 1958 graduate of Maryland, Skinner was a two-sport standout for the<br />
Terrapins earning All-America honors in both lacrosse and soccer.<br />
A native of Dundalk, Md., he helped lead the Terps to the national<br />
championship in lacrosse in 1956 and was inducted into the Maryland Sports<br />
Hall of Fame on May 5, 2000.<br />
T.J. Grams Academic Coordinator<br />
T.J. Grams became a member of the <strong>Duke</strong><br />
athletic department in August of 2005 and is an<br />
academic coordinator. He oversees the academic<br />
progress for the men’s lacrosse program as well<br />
as baseball, women’s lacrosse, men’s and<br />
women’s soccer, men’s golf and men’s and<br />
women’s tennis.<br />
Grams joined the <strong>Duke</strong> staff after working at<br />
the <strong>University</strong> of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of<br />
Business as an academic advisor. He also was a<br />
graduate assistant academic coordinator at N.C.<br />
State while earning a master’s degree from the<br />
school, finishing in 2003.<br />
A native of Sheboygan, Wisc., Grams is a 2001 graduate of the<br />
<strong>University</strong> of Wisconsin. He is married to the former Heather Mehring of<br />
Brookfield, Wisc.<br />
Randall Dorvin Strength Coach<br />
Randall Dorvin joined the Strength &<br />
Conditioning staff in August 2007.<br />
Dorvin came to <strong>Duke</strong> from New Orleans,<br />
La., where he operated his own athletic<br />
development facility for several years, training<br />
numerous athletes from high school to the<br />
professional level.<br />
His most recent collegiate coaching<br />
experience includes serving as an Assistant<br />
Strength & Conditioning Coach at Oregon and he<br />
was the first Head Strength & Conditioning Coach<br />
at New Orleans.<br />
Dorvin holds a bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology from<br />
the <strong>University</strong> of New Orleans, a master’s degree in sports medicine from the<br />
<strong>University</strong> of Oregon and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.<br />
He is certified by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches<br />
Association, the National Strength & Conditioning Association, the USA<br />
Weightlifting Federation and USA Track & Field.<br />
Jeff Howser Speed & Agility Coach<br />
Former ACC champion and All-America Jeff<br />
Howser is in his seventh season as <strong>Duke</strong>’s<br />
speed and conditioning coach.<br />
A 1971 graduate of <strong>Duke</strong>, Howser was a sixtime<br />
ACC champion. Howser was named as one<br />
of the ACC’s top 50 track athletes of all-time in<br />
2003. He went on to earn a bronze medal at the<br />
1969 World Championships in the 110-meter high<br />
hurdles and was an alternate on the 1968 U.S.<br />
Olympic Team.<br />
Howser ran on the international level from<br />
1968-82, was a four-time U.S. Olympic Trials<br />
qualifier and two-time U.S. Olympic Trials finalist.<br />
Howser served previous track and field assistant coaching stints at<br />
Florida (1971-74), N.C. State (1974-77), <strong>Duke</strong> (1977-79 & 1989-90) and North<br />
Carolina (1979-80).<br />
Bob Weiseman Equipment Manager<br />
Bob Weiseman joined the <strong>Duke</strong> Athletic<br />
Department in January of 2008 and serves as the<br />
Equipment Manager for the Blue Devil men’s<br />
lacrosse team.<br />
Weiseman worked seven years (2000-07) at<br />
Villanova <strong>University</strong> in a variety of capacities<br />
including media relations assistant, assistant<br />
coordinator of marketing, promotions and special<br />
events and director of operations and facilities. He<br />
also spent four years (2003-06) as Villanova’s<br />
facility and game operations liasion for the MLL's<br />
Philadelphia Barrage.<br />
A native of Doylestown, Pa., Weiseman is a 2000 graduate of Lynchburg<br />
College and engaged to Meghan Carolan, a native of Hicksville, N.Y., who<br />
also is a member of the <strong>Duke</strong> equipment staff.<br />
Erin Cobb Administrative Assistant<br />
Erin Cobb joined the <strong>Duke</strong> athletics staff in<br />
October of 2007 and serves as an Administrative<br />
Assistant for the Blue Devil men’s lacrosse<br />
program.<br />
A native of Maine, N.Y., Cobb played both<br />
field hockey and lacrosse at Hartwick College<br />
before graduating in 2004 with a bachelor of arts<br />
degree in history. She went on to earn a master’s<br />
degree in the same discipline from UNC<br />
Greensboro in 2006.<br />
