The Office of Economic Development’s<br />
(OED) mission is to implement a full<br />
range of strategies designed to enhance<br />
<strong>Broward</strong> County’s economy, resulting<br />
in job creation, business expansion,<br />
and continually improving the quality<br />
of life of our residents. Its mission is to<br />
promote job growth, diversify the county’s<br />
industrial mix, and expand the local tax<br />
base. OED works closely with key partners<br />
to accomplish its mission, including The<br />
<strong>Broward</strong> <strong>Alliance</strong>, Enterprise Florida,<br />
WorkForce One and local municipalities.<br />
OED is also responsible for the protocol<br />
and international trade desk that<br />
includes the Diplomatic Services Room<br />
for <strong>Broward</strong> County, located at Fort<br />
Lauderdale-Hollywood International<br />
Airport.<br />
