Kiwanis was organized January 21, 1915. The name “Kiwanis” was coined from an American
Greg Seaton
Indian expression, Nunc Kee-wanis, which means Joann “we Haley trade” or we “share our talents.” With
Kiwanians
Kiwanis clubs in more than 90 countries around the world, Kiwanis has become an international
service organization for men and women – volunteers changing the world through their service
to children and communities.
Kiwanis conducts 270.781.1252 itself in accordance with these basic standards: To give importance to the
human and spiritual Kiwanianrather than the material values of life; To encourage living by the Golden
Rule; To promote higher social, business, and professional standards; To encourage and be
servant leaders; To build Kiwanis clubs that build lasting friendships and serve and strengthen
local communities; and To promote justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
The mission of Kiwanis is to serve the children of the world. Kiwanis members help shelter the
homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth
as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more. Working
together, Premier Kiwanis Realty members Partners achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give
a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen!
Ron Cummings
Kiwanis members Kiwanian are guided by these key principles, called the “Objectives of Kiwanis
International”.
• To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.
